Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers praised the freshness and taste of the burgers and other menu items, highlighting specific favorites like the honey butter chicken biscuit and double meat burgers.
Service Issues
Numerous reviews mentioned slow service, particularly during busy times, with some customers experiencing long wait times for their orders.
Staff Performance
While some staff members received high praise for their friendliness and professionalism, there were also complaints about rudeness and inattentiveness from certain employees.
Cleanliness
Several customers noted that the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, contributing positively to their dining experience.
Management
Positive feedback highlighted effective management, particularly from specific managers who improved service and customer experience at the location.

I got to this whataburger at 11:47 pm in the drive-thru. They’ve checked in with me 2 times after almost 30 minutes of waiting. Asked for my order and then didn’t respond at all. I’ve spent 30 minutes in a literal drive thru and haven’t been able to order my food. Kinda crazy.

It was a late night trip for a very late dinner. I tried to order from the app but had issues with the payment method. In the app there was the option to have my sandwich made with Texas toast. When my wife placed the order at the window they didn't understand the request I suppose, or maybe it isn't a common request to order the chicken sandwich with Texas toast. The sandwich and fries were good considering I didn't get it as I expected. Aside from the miscommunication at the drive through window all was good.

Visited the drive-thru for 3 breakfast sandwiches. Only 1 car behind us and they asked us to drive around the front of the building and wait by the front door. Sat there 10 minutes and then went in to see what the hold up was. They said it will be right out. 3 mins later they brought it out. Seemed like the staff was being lazy. Won't be visiting that Whataburger again.

I would like to like this place but it’s always very slow. Not busy at 9:40am still takes 20 minutes for a simple order. Happens all the time
