- OTOlivia TackettFeb 15, 20265.0Went in on a Friday evening and it was pretty busy. We ordered the meatloaf special, which was enough meat for 3 meals, no exaggeration, and it was so good! You could taste the onion, bell peppers and ketchup baked in. My husband and I split the meal with an extra order of mashed potatoes, with both white gravy (my favorite) and brown gravy, the (husband’s favorite). We split the roll and okra. Let me tell you, the rolls are the BEST. My teenager got the fried chicken dinner, and she was stuffed (strange of a teenager). The guy that helped us was fantastic, and when we told him the ice machine was empty (remember it was busy), they jumped right on it to fill. Even though they were busy the restraunt and bathroom was super clean, Alise from a few trays on a table (no fault of theirs, just lazy patrons). The decor is also super cute..think modern farm decor.

But the food was horrible. I literally fed it to my dog the next day. The beans tasted like pork and beans with bbq sauce on them. Wasn't baked into them or anything. The chicken breast was dry. The corn doggers were old as well. It was super slow the whole time we were there. Which makes sense now as to why the whole meal ruined. The lady working the line was great. This is my 4th Charlie's. Its kinda hit and miss when the goods and fresh there's usually an angry drive through. I never can tell. There so many places I can grab chicken at. But Charlie's has the ONLY corn doggers.
