Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- KOKate OakleyApr 1, 20261.0Make sure you ask for your change back! Got a large vanilla shake. It was 4.99. I gave the lady $5. I had already pulled out the driveway before I realized she didn’t give me any change back. Didn’t even offer it. I know it was only one cent but it’s the principle.

It doesn't compare in any way to the slop they sling at other places. They actually had the ingredients spread evenly, not piled on top of each other right in the middle. Also the restaurant was squeaky clean and the employee who took my order was precious, helpful, professional and well trained. You people complaining about tickets times need to wake up. Would you rather have your order sitting under a heat lamp so your wait time is less? They have the Whataburger story framed and hanging on the wall. It states their philosophy. I read it while I happily waited for my delicious made to order burger.
