Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times and incorrect orders, leading to frustration with the service quality.
Food Quality
While some customers praised the taste and freshness of the food, others complained about cold items and incorrect orders.
Staff Friendliness
Many reviews highlighted the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, although there were instances of poor customer service.
Cleanliness

Management Concerns
There were multiple mentions of management issues, including understaffing and lack of proper training for employees.

Pulled ul to drivd through Ordered, paid, and got our drinks fast. Then we waited and waited. Saw the person who took our payment standing outside the front door hitting his vape. Eventually we did get our food and it was hot and tasty but the fries were cold.

10/28/25 around 10:20am - Ordered my breakfast( 3 Bacon, egg cheese biscuits) requested picante sauce
. No picante sauce no straw. Waited before I pulled off. The guy opened the window I asked, could I get a straw and three picante sauces (2nd request) - he handed me a straw and close the window (no picante sauce) - I waited for about 5 to 7 minutes before he opened the window again I said can I get 3 picante sauce ( 3rd request) . He handed me 2 - I asked again (4th request). Can I have 1 more for total of 3 - Not sure what’s going on at Whataburger this seems ridiculous.
It’s unfortunate. I’m glad Whataburger came to Yukon however, with this type of service, I’m not sure how long they will last.

Being from out of town, and stopping for a quick bite, I really appreciated the speed and friendliness of the staff at this location.

This place seriously needs to reevaluate how it treats both its employees and customers. I’ve seen teenage employees being made to work full 8-hour shifts with no breaks whatsoever, and managers are actually sending underage workers to grab vapes out of their cars…..which is completely inappropriate and against the law. The lack of compassion and professionalism from management is deeply concerning, and if nothing changes soon, I’ll have no choice but to report this to the Better Business Bureau.
As for the customer experience, it’s not much better. The food takes far too long to prepare, and by the time you finally get it, it tastes like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I’ve literally wasted more money on gas waiting in line than on the meal itself.
This place needs serious management reform before they lose more employees and customers.

It is said that the Texas based chain, "WHATABURGER" is better than In-N-Out, and I wanted to compare the two myself and find out who is actually the best. We just had a new Whataburger built here in Canadian County Oklahoma, and I went in to order food. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I advised them I was here to compare them and In-N-Out, they were touchy about In-N-Out, but nonetheless took my order. I checked the men's restroom, restaurant floors and tables for cleanliness. One of the employees was actively cleaning the soda fountain dispenser and I was impressed. Upon serving my meal, another attendant came out to check the dining room to make sure it was clean. Even the entry door glass got a touch up. Now for the taste test; the hamburger was a #2 double burger, nice and hot and fresh with everything on it, I took a bite so one could see the inside of the burger, (don't get grossed out, lol). The burger was cooked very well, and what an incredible taste and experience. The fries were crisp and super fresh, out of the fryer. Overall I give Whataburger 5 stars for quality and taste. Whataburger stands on its own taste and not comparable to In-N-Out, they too have a superior product and stand alone on their own quality and taste. To compare the two burgers is like comparing oranges and tangerines, they are both quality but different tastes and both EXCELLENT! Whataburger and In-N-Out should team up for a friendly competition and initiate a Nationwide fun competition for best burger, then both support local Veterans charities for example. I would say I love both chains, each burger has excellent taste. Well done Whataburger!
