Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customer experiences with service were mixed, with some praising friendly staff and quick service, while others reported long wait times and order inaccuracies.
Food Freshness
Many customers enjoyed the freshness and taste of the food, but there were complaints about cold or improperly cooked items.
Cleanliness
The restaurant was generally noted for being clean, although some reviews mentioned dirty tables and issues with restroom access.
Order Accuracy
Several customers reported issues with incorrect orders, including missing items and wrong charges, indicating a need for improvement in order handling.

For the time of night qhen we went the food was delicious l, every thing was done well and our order was accurate. The staff was friendly and patient when having to deal with hungry people with crazy orders. Thanks for an enjoyable experience, when they are far and few these days

I would hope this place has better customer service during day shift, but I went late at night last night and my experience was shocking to say the least. I was in the drive through. The lady taking my order mis-heard me when I was ordering. Instead of ringing me up for a bbq chicken sandwich, she rung me up for a honey butter biscuit. When I got to the window I asked her to repeat my order and when I noticed the error, I politely let her know it was incorrect. She immediately got attitude and slammed the window shut, and slammed my debit card on the counter. I hear her cussing and complaining about me to the people in the kitchen. She then went over to the drink station by the window and pulled a pill bottle out of her purse and dry-swallowed a pill. She seemed under the influence. I complained to the shift manager and asked for the pill-popper’s name. Her name is Jessica. The manager was a bit apologetic, but honestly, she seemed like a drug user as well. With how tense and rude the lady was, I hope my food was not tampered with. I was really disgusted with their service.

We found this Whataburger to be a very good place for a quick hassle-free meal.
We were greeted warmly, our order was accurate and cooked to order, our food was delivered with a genuine smile to our clean table, and the restrooms were clean as well. Workers were friendly to all other customers that were there, and the customers were polite as well (!) It all made for a pleasant experience, and for a fast food place, that’s saying something!

We were in from Ohio visiting family. We love what burger and is one of our places we have to eat at when we come back here because they have none in Ohio. What a disappointment! I ordered the Honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich with french fries. I watched them box my fries, then drop my husband's onion rings to cook. Needless to say, my fries were tepid when they arrived. They had nothing on the chicken sandwich, the cheese was not melted and the chicken strips were still still frozen in the middle. No one ever came around to check how we were doing. Worst experience ever at a whataburger we have ever had.
