We went to Main Event and it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. A large percentage of the games simply do not work. You swipe your card, the game doesn’t start, and yet your balance is immediately deducted. It feels like you’re constantly donating money to broken machines. To their credit, if you go to the Winner’s Choice / Winner’s Circle area, they can put the money back on your card—but having to do this every other game is incredibly annoying. Realistically, only about 25% of the games actually function properly. The rest are a gamble, and not the fun kind. The game selection itself isn’t great either, so my advice is don’t load too much money onto your card—you’ll have trouble spending it on games that actually work. The facility also feels poorly maintained overall. Cleanliness and upkeep clearly aren’t a priority. The employees are far from enthusiastic, but honestly, I don’t blame them. It would be hard to show up excited to work in an environment like this. Bottom line: there are plenty of better options out there (Dave & Buster’s, etc.), and I wouldn’t choose Main Event as a first—or even second—choice. Even though it feels like a discount-style venue, the prices are anything but. You’re paying premium rates for broken games, constant hassles, and subpar hygiene. Not worth it.

Overall, it was okay. Would not recommend. Seems like no one has any idea what's going on. Went here to bowl and play games. Online it shows happy hour and we went during the time frame. Only to find out happy hour isn't held here. No big deal though, just bummed out. Bowling was totally fine. Lane seemed to be slightly uneven, but my child couldn't tell or care. We wanted food and it so happened kids eat free, so it was a pleasant surprise. However, we waited 15 min for someone to approach, but no one did. I went up to the server, who informed me that they were the only one attending all lanes. Was told it would be faster to order at the bar. Again, not a big deal, but a little annoying. We to the bar and asked about the details for kids eat free and was told wait while she asked about it. I would think they would know, but okay. I was informed that an entree needed to be ordered since I wanted an appetizer. Entree was ordered and food arrived quickly. Food was definitely not worth the price. Nothing special, but not terrible. After listening to the intercom announcements, a food item $11.99 was needed to be ordered for kids to eat free. Annoyed because the original appetizer I wanted met the $11.99 price point. Seems like the bartender or person she asked didn't know. Games were fine, nothing wrong with them and all in working condition.

We came in with the family for the second first time attempt with free game passes due to being turned away previously due to the business being closed for a private event. We walked around initially, with no staff interactions, before deciding to go with a meal/game combo (which would have put our payment to at least $350, plus the extra gift cards we had). We were seated, but had absolutely no acknowledgement by any employees for about 25 minutes before the kids began getting anxious, which caused my wife to feel upset. It was during lunch time, and there were very few families seated who appeared like they had already finished their meals. It wasn't busy at all and I attempted to look for an employee's attention, but the few employees I could see were standing in the back in our and their view just talking. The family went back to the car while I found someone to return the gift cards to. He tried to offer double what we had but the kids and wife were already upset and getting in the car. We had high hopes as they had a lot to offer, but the complete lack of service was extremely disappointing. We should have read the 1 star reviews about the lack of service, especially about the meals, before deciding to take advantage of one of the meal packages. If they were busy I could understand some delay, but the parking lot only had a few cars and seeing a few employees just standing around laughing while I stood there trying to get anyone to acknowledge us was sad. I had high hopes this time would be better but this was a lot worse than turning us away our first time trying to go there. We ended up going to Dave and Busters again. There was less to do/play there, but at least we felt welcome.

We get there, party of 6. The Host was just lost. Threw the menus on the table, did not ask us to be seated, then he was gone. They were short handed. We spent over $250 on, cold, appetizers. Had to ask for silverware, could not get refills on the drinks. Overall an extremely bad night. I will be posting on all of my social media regarding this. The one bright spot was the bartender, who did apologize and told us they had a number of call ins that day. As for the apps, the loaded quaso was good, the chips were cold and hard, the mozzarella sticks were good. The Brussels sprouts were cold, undercooked, hard & GROSS
