Heard awesome things about this place. Sadly they did not deliver. Reminded me strongly of Chipotle and the reason I dont go there. For 15$ bowl I got a cpl salad leaves, about a tbl spoon of rice, meat, corn, feta and a small squirt of harrissa salad dressing. Bowl was less than half full compared to menu photos. Steak was dty, cold, and flavorless. side order of potatoes was awful. not sure how they achieved the combination of flavorless chewy and soggy but the entire thing was thrown out. Workers were indifferent at best. Too bad because I know they have the capabilities to be awesome but as 1st (and last) impressions go it sucked.

Notorious for "punishment" orders.
This was my fourth time ordering delivery from the Norman Cava on 24th Ave NW, and twice now (50% of my orders) I’ve been sent the infamous “punishment bowl.”
The very first time I ordered, I got a half-filled bowl with tiny scoops of everything and no extras. I honestly thought “okay, maybe Cava just has small portions” and let it go. The next two orders were surprisingly nice and exactly what I paid for, so I started ordering regularly. Then yesterday (order #4) when the Dasher sent the pickup photo and it was literally just plain chicken + rice in the smallest bowl, no toppings at all, no pita—tiny bag, ticket only said “chicken & rice.” Thankfully my Dasher turned around immediately and made them remake it correctly (gave him $10 cash for saving the day), but there’s zero chance this was an accident. Their system prints every single topping in order; staff saw “DD” (DoorDash) and intentionally sent out the a punishment order.
After reading dozens of Google reviews and looking at customer photos, it’s clear this location has a pattern of skimping or straight-up sabotaging delivery orders while giving full, beautiful bowls to in-person customers. It’s heartbreaking because the food is genuinely good when they actually make it right, but you can’t trust them on DoorDash/Uber Eats. Half my orders have been deliberately shorted. I’m done giving them chances, I won't be back at all. Super disappointing.
(And huge shout-out to the Dashers who catch this stuff or go back and make it right; you’re the only reason some of us still get what we paid for.)
