Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
First time coming to this location. I have to say I was pretty impressed. The staff was kind and communicative. It was nice to substitute some items for my dietary restrictions at no cost. I got the bacon avocado burger which was really good. The fries were hot and the sweet tea was great! Overall, our experience was a 8/10. The cost was more than Braums but the food and service were good. If you had a bad experience before try and give them another chance, they did just open.

Im not rating the food because we actually didnt recieve it. They came up to the car window we ordered 2 small malts, she took our name and told us to pull to the window. Sat there 10 min before they asked us what nane was on the order, insisted they didnt have an order for us... they go get the girl who tookkour order for her to tell us well if its not on the screen i didnt hear you or i dont remember..... there was NOBODY behind us why bot just put them in and make them... they litterally acted as if we skipped the ordering part and just hung out at there window. I get its new and usually busy but come on ppl customer service is actually not rocket science

The food was ok, little wait but that was to be expected. The floor in the dining area needed attention bad.
Biggest thing that got us was the "manager in training" Daniel....dudes nails were black underneath they were so dirty...this is a food establishment you should never have fingernails looking like that dude...wash your hands once in awhile.
But he also seriously seemed like he was on something... very strange behavior for a manager.

I'm leaving 3 stars because we recently tried out the new whataburger, and even though the food was delicious and 99% of the staff were amazing, one person made it a rather uncomfortable visit. A manager was speaking in a truly awful way toward the employees. He was very loud and condescending, making it seem like an attempt at public humiliation that I found to be rather grotesque. I asked an employee who he was and they said his name was Paul. I'd love to be back in the future, but the thought of trying to enjoy a meal in that environment is hard to imagine. Cut your workers a break and take some leadership courses, good grief.

We were so excited to have Whataburger back in town but greatly disappointed when most of our order was wrong. The food was poorly prepared and my coke was indeed not coke at all but just soda water. My daughter who is food sensitive had pickles on her burger although we asked for ketchup only, my burger was dry although I didn't order it that way, my other daughter had onions on her burger although she requested no onions. The whole thing was a mess. Probably won't go back at least until it's not as busy and they can focus on getting it right instead of just pushing food out the door.
