Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
You can never go wrong with the whataburger location. Great food and service

“WHAT ELSE?? WHAT ELSE??” In the drive thru is obnoxious and to charge me for ranch just to not even give it to me

Went into the restaurant, and we had to wait several minutes for anyone to even come to the register so we could order.
I ordered the same thing that I did last week but it was much more expensive. I ordered a salad and a hamburger meal. It cost me 26.00. I knew it was a different amount from the week before, but when I asked one person about it, she just replied that she didn't know anything. The person who took my order said he didn't know because he was new, so when he went back to ask, one of the people working there said it was wrong and that I needed a refund but another said it was right so they wouldn't do anything about it.
We were so excited for the Whataburger to open up because we love the food, but it is run so poorly. It takes forever to get food through the drive-through, and it takes forever for someone to come to the register if you eat inside.
Definitely, Whataburger needs to take a page out of Chick Fil A's book which is right next door to Whataburger.

Hopefully my next experience is better. Employees confused about a lost order. Guessing the handed my online order to another customer, so now I've gotta wait for everything to be remade.

Had breakfast. Food was 4.5 stars for a Whataburger. Employees helpful and friendly with the few questions I had. Overall 4⭐ experience. No tea in lobby. No napkins. No salt. Employees gave me napkins and a small amount of salt in a container, they must have been out of packets. Prices seem more expensive then other Whataburgers in Tulsa / BA. Was not happy I would have had to pay an extra .50 in app if I wanted a 50/50 unsweet/sweet tea mix. Opted for unsweet instead. Then no tea in lobby for refill, didn't feel like tracking an employee down before I left.
If I'm in the area again I'd be willing to try them again to see how their lunch/dinner is during a busy time.
