Then I walked by the freezer that usually houses the ice cream cakes, and it was empty. I later overheard that it was broken. The restaurant was eerily empty. It was one o'clock on a Friday. I would think it should have been busier. We ordered our food and sat down. We sat for more than 10 minutes before the shift manager (I think) came over and explained that the cook did not see our order. He apologized and in another 5 minutes we got our food which was absolutely great! Well worth the wait. It's a good thing we were not in a hurry. Then we ordered some ice cream. Which was also good. However, we were never offered any discount or coupons for future purchases since we had to wait so long for our food. If I were manager, I would definitely have done just that. It's just good business.
