Honestly, this is a very poorly ran Subway. It’s also ran by the same district manager that runs the Subway in Greenfield, which explains a lot about the issues this specific Subway also suffers from. There’s no mincing words here, both locations cut corners and the quality is extremely poor. I don’t know if there’s an issue with food cost/waste or it’s a decision made by the District manager, but they give you the bare minimum for toppings and I’ve caught them at both locations giving the wrong amount of meat several times. Having worked at Subway in more than a few states and as a manager once or twice at a few locations, I’ve observed that they deliberately give you less meat and refuse to give you more when you catch them shorting you. I’ve went as far as grabbing the cheat sheet that’s faced directly in front of them or got out my phone and googled the correct amount of meat that goes on each sandwich. I’m always met with the same sheepish smile or smug attitude when they’ve been corrected. They’re clearly being instructed to do this by upper management considering they also have the sneeze guard completely covered up to limit visibility at both locations. The meat given is based on a formula per sandwich; 6 pepperoni, 6 salami, and 4 ham for a BMT as an example. I’ve noticed they give significantly less on mobile orders the most.
The staff clearly sees mobile and DoorDash orders as an inconvenience and they treat them as such. I am almost always given a comically small amount of toppings whenever I’ve ordered for mobile pickup or for DoorDash.
I understand keeping food cost to a minimum, but giving customers a sprinkle of lettuce, eight pickles, eight black olives, and an onion ripped into eight small pieces on a footlong sub is ridiculous! I don’t care what the training guide says and I understand that it tells you eight pieces (or whatever it may be now) at time unless the customer requests for more…
but that really shouldn’t apply to mobile orders when you’re not able to request a specific amount of veggies on your sandwich or make any kind of special requests on the DoorDash or Subway App.
Another thing that’s a CONSTANT pain in my neck at both locations is the staff absolutely drowning your sandwiches in sauce!
This is not just little bit of extra sauce as a substitute for the lack of toppings either! This is a ludicrous amount and I feel like it’s being deliberately done to mobile orders because they’re seen as an inconvenience.
This is not a one time issue, but an issue that’s been going on for several years now.
Please don’t think I’m exaggerating or being picky, because I love a lot of sauce… but every single sandwich I’ve ordered for the last few years has been completely drenched with the sauce!
I’d confidently guess that there’s more than half a bottle of sauce on my sandwich every time. I’ve finally given up on this Subway and the location in Greenfield. The quality is extremely poor compared to other Subways in the surrounding area or the Subway that’s inside Walmart. I really can’t recommend the Subway in Walmart enough! Their veggies are always fresh, they give you the correct portions, and the staff is much friendlier and professional.

Staff was very nice but owner needs to clean this place. Walls are really filthy and the trash next to the drink machine ....well a food business should be ashamed to have something that filthy in the dining area. It is clear the walls and trash are never wiped down.
