  I’ll do anything for my kid. That’s really the only reason I found myself waiting in a long McDonald’s line after a full day at work. I tried to keep things simple and efficient. Just a 10-piece nugget meal and two cookies. Nothing fancy or complicated. It seemed like the kind of order that should be quick and easy. The first window went smoothly. The staff was pleasant and professional. No complaints there. The second window? Bless her heart. The young lady looked completely overwhelmed and unsure of what was going on around her. She handed me my drink and asked me to pull forward and park because the car ahead was waiting at window number three. Yes, there was a third window. I couldn’t figure out why there was a third window if people still had to pull over and wait. What’s the point of streamlining if it doesn’t actually save time? So I parked, waited, and watched. Cars kept moving through the line, clearly on track to leave before me and they did. I sat there for almost ten minutes, questioning every choice that brought me to that drive-thru. Finally, my food showed up. When I got home, I checked the bag before giving it to my son. I found my two cookies mashed together into one strange, confused cookie. At that moment, I had to stop and think. Because how is it that I have sat in Chick-fil-A lines wrapped around the building, spilling into the street, and still received my food hot, fresh, and intact in less time than this? Whoever handles training at Chick-fil-A should really teach a seminar at McDonald’s. Seriously. This wasn’t fast food. It was a test of patience. And I passed. Just barely.

  When I ordered a Mobile Order & Pay, the store claims they never received the order and refused to honor my purchase. I showed them the receipt for my order and they handed my random food not on my receipt. I talked to the manager and she refused to even look at my receipt or process a refund. In other words, this store is accepting mobile orders and refusing to complete the orders.

  The drive through is ridiculously slow and in the process they lost our order and we had to re-order our food… if they ask you to pull forward, do not.

  Slow service and long line at drive through show how inefficient the store operates. Parking and going inside to avoid long line at drive through didn't help at all. Employees show no sense of urgency towards in-person customers at the counter inside. Between the kiosks malfunctioning and employees inattention, it easily takes twice as long as staying in the car.
