Placed my order on the pizza hut app around 330pm for a scheduled delivery of 630pm, because I have company coming over to watch a football game tonight and I wanted it hot and fresh for the game. Pizza shows up at 530pm, Im confused, so I ask why its so early. Order got sent from pizza hut to door dash for delivery. Not the dashers fault.
I call the store to find out why it was delivered so early. Guy that answers says its because doordash sent it and that was the 4th dasher assigned to my order and she had to wait. I asked why my order was even sent to doordash so early when I ordered from the pizza hut app for a scheduled time. He tells me to hang on, then I hear him call for what I assume is the manager, and I can hear him MOCK me while explaining why Im calling. I just hung up at that point. Completely rude and unprofessional.
At least they put the tavern seasoning on my 2 tavern style pizzas. I had to put a reminder in the special instructions because the last several times I ordered, they forgot the seasonings.
I have noticed the service quality of this store going down hill over the past year. I can ignore the forgotten seasonings on 5 consecutive orders, because at the end of the day, thats an extremely minor detail that doesnt disrupt the overall quality of the food - just dissappointment because the seasoning levels up the pizza. But in this case, I called for clarification so that I can ensure the proper delivery time the next time I order a scheduled delivery just to be mocked by an employee. Im am done. Ive been loyal to this store since I moved to Point Place 3 years ago, defening them in the point place Facebook groups because I have always gotten 5 start service, and the only time I complained was when my order was over an hour late while I was at work and could get called away at any given time and miss delivery (emergency medical transport). The manager went above and beyond to make sure I not only got my order ASAP, but sent extra food as well. And after that, until about a year ago, there hasn't been any issues. In the past year my food has arrived cold, with missing ingredients, or the wrong drinks. I didnt complain because people get distracted, people misread things, accidents and mistakes happen. All I did tonight was call for clarification on why my order was delivered an hour early so that I could make sure it didnt happen again in the future. I was polite, I was calm, just confused and seeking clarification. There was absolutely no need to mock me and make it sound like I was angry and irrational. I was simply confused.
So, good job to whoever answered the phone and decided to act that way. Now I will be a "karen", because how you treated me was extremely rude. I'll find a new place to order my pizza from now on. Even if I have to find a different location and pick it up myself because I am out of delivery range.
