We had a lot of family come from the East Coast for my uncles funeral service. We decided to celebrated my niece's 14th birthday at Pappadeaux. We had about 8 in our party and the server, Angel did an exceptional job with us. I've been to Pappadeaux several times but most of my family have never been. They really enjoyed the ambiance, the service and food. I will add that for the price, I think the food should be plated and presented a little better. Even though my family doesn't have one near them, they told me they would definitely be coming back when they visit Cincinnati.

Been here a few times before and loved it but today was not a good experience. We were seated right away (not at all busy) but took a while to be given our menus and get our drink order. (Not sure why they don’t have the host give us the menu). I was served the wrong side with my meal and didn’t like the over powering butter flavor of the trout I ordered. My husband was almost done with his food before the server checked on us. I was comped the wrong side but ther server had a flippant attitude and lack of attention. My husband thought his meal was just okay this time. So we won’t be back mostly because of the service.

I went here last week and it was a terrible experience. Ordered an appetizer, but then they say they just ran out 5 minutes later while we're waiting for it. So we just skip to ordering the main meal. A lot more waiting. The fish was overcooked but also somehow cold, even though it had just come out. It almost was like they had thrown the plate into the microwave. My drink came out after my meal was half-done, and was made wrong twice. I'd eaten here before awhile ago and the food was good, but a constant issue is the service. Both times, it took forever to be served, get drinks, order, get the check. For how expensive it is, you'd expect both the food and service to be excellent. What should have been a celebration was just disappointing.

I had a wonderful experience at another Pappadeaux in GA. I came home talking about how great it was and we needed to go. So for our anniversary we decided to go and grab lunch while we were in town. My husband suggested we go here. Both walking in happily and excited. We were greeted and lead to our table. From here the experience went south. Our waitress seemed like she didn't have time to talk to us let alone our drink orders. For the appetizer we selected the crab fingers. They came with French fries worse than day old ones from McDonald's. We asked for ketchup and that took 10 minutes. Don't worry the fries didn't get cold everything came out cold. My husband ordered the fried crawfish. The only side that comes with those....you guessed it. More of those disgusting fries. Ketchup same return time. I don't understand why fries are the ONLY side that meal could come with. I ordered the oysters with parmesean and a side salad. I surely didn't care to have more fries. The oysters came out cold of course and well done. The parmesean was extremely close to burnt. Forget trying to get a refill we had to ask another waitress since ours was nonexistent. For the life of me I will not understand how this restaurant is still in business when garage like this is served! Our total came to $120. $120, I could've spent somewhere else and actually walked away happy. Never will we EVER be back and I'll let everyone know I speak with. Do better this is ridiculous. I would be ashamed to own this business

Went for a friend's birthday, to start we all arrived at separate times to the bar and never mentioned that we were together to the server at the bar, yet she clumped all our orders together and without asking charge one card $168. Then all my friend wanted for her birthday was a lobster and crab legs. Well, apparently a year or so ago they stopped serving crab legs and that was fine, until the lobster carcass came to the table, they served her a lobster that looked liked someone else had already eaten the tail meat and one of the claws, it was just pitiful. Another friend had the blackened shrimp over rice pilaf, the shrimp were black from being burnt and not the spice. My blackened catfish was suppose to have oysters, lump crab meat, and shrimp. I had one chewy size of a pea oyster, not enough lump crab meat to even mention it, and 3 little shrimp that were smaller than cocktail shrimp plus my catfish was over seasoned and salty. Then when we got our dinner check I ordered a appetizer for the table and told the server to put it on my bill, but again the same friend from the bar bill got charged and paid for it before we realized what happened, apparently that friend looked like she was paying for everything. It was over all a horrible experience and I will never go again. I think I should mention there were only four of us and of the four only one had an edible dish.
