- TOTellus Ojacanu4 days ago2.0I worked in a NE Ohio restaurant for many years. Yes - I do know what I am talking about. The food at Burntwood Tavern tonight was absolutely horrible. In fact I would pay the owner of the restaurant to have the exact same meal as me. I will literally pay him to eat what I ate. The shrimp appetizer tastes like deep fried shrimp mixed with a cup of water and a half a cup of Frank's Red Hot sauce. Not recommended. Plus the whatever poorly tasting ranch-blue cheese like dressing was an absolute worst choice somebody could come up with for this appetizer. I mean how could you screw up a shrimp appetizer? The chicken piccata was the most wierd flavored meal I think I've ever had in my life. It's like this cook never has made lemon chicken piccata before in his life. I could not tell you what flavor that was but it was nothing close to what I expected. Absolutely terrible entree. It's like the Jr cook put a bunch of mixed vegatable together and was out of certain ingredients. My wife said her salad with pounded fried chicken tasted terrible. My friends ordered The gumbo and they would not recommend it either. The service was great. Tammy is very nice. But I would never recommend this restaurant ever again. Or atleast just get a hamburger or smashburger here. And I've been here many times. I go out to eat about six times a month in Northeast Ohio. And many times in the neighborhood. I highly do not recommend this restaurant. Mr Owner or Mrs Owner please contact me and I will buy you dinner at your own restaurant and watch you eat it. Anytime you want.
