Made reservation for 7:45 PM, showed up @ 7:44 and was told they were running 30-45 minutes late. We waited a while and then asked the hostess if we could shop around, she told us sure, and she would call our names and text us if we weren't there when our turn came up. They cancelled our reservation, no call, no text, just eventually got an email from OpenTable @ 8:34.

This has $ but it’s truly far more expensive! Everything is separate. The simple chicken parm is $35 and doesn’t even come with spaghetti… Which would be fine if this were like a nicer more upscale place. This place is priced outrageously for what it is. Think Carlo and Johnny prices with LaRosa’s food. Every item is sold separately. So you can get chicken Parmesan For $35 but it doesn’t even come with spaghetti or a salad or anything you have to add that extra. After you add everything you want for a full meal it’s well over $50+. I’ve been here several times but it’s been several years. The food was always just ok. Also, when the place is almost empty on a Saturday evening at Rookwood Commons, you know there’s a problem.

This place is always amazing. I figured with the holiday we would have to wait forever to get a seat for 2, but we were at a table within 15 minutes. Our server was so sweet and friendly, super helpful. We got a few dishes and all were just as good as I remember. The only thing that made me sad was I remember them having cheesecake, and it was really good, but I guess its no longer on the menu. Other than that everything was fantastic as always!

Disorganized seating and disappointing food Our experience at Buca di Beppo was frustrating from the moment we arrived. We were a party of 12 and were led into a private room by the hostess, who placed menus on several different tables but did not say a single word—no indication of which table was ours, no instructions, nothing. She then left the room entirely. I had to search the restaurant to find someone who could help us and eventually located one staff member who was clearly overwhelmed. She said she would call for help when she had a moment. In the meantime, we gathered around two tables that appeared suitable for a group our size. Later, we were told we were sitting at the wrong table and were redirected to another table that was poorly suited for 12 adults. Several guests were left sitting at the edges with little to no proper eating space. Once seated, our waitress was responsive and did her best to help, which we appreciated. As for the food: • The salad was fine. • The spaghetti was mediocre. • The penne alla vodka was good. • The fettuccine was not restaurant-worthy—tasting like a basic canned sauce. Much of this experience could have been improved with basic hostess training—simple communication at arrival would have avoided most of the confusion—as well as better-quality ingredients in the kitchen. For a restaurant that markets itself around family-style dining and large groups, the lack of communication, poor seating management, and inconsistent food quality made this a disappointing experience overall.

We haven’t been here in years and thought it would be fun to celebrate a teen birthday here. I wish we had gone somewhere else. The restaurant has gone down hill - there’s a weird smell, damaged and peeling restrooms with no soap, dirty plates and cutlery. Most of the food was bland and nothing to go back for. I left a note in the reservation saying it was for a birthday and no one said or did anything. As my daughter said ‘2/10, never going again’. We were so disappointed. Don’t go. I brought 12 people and spent $400. I can make better tasting food at home with a jar of Rao’s! They were out of bread, lasagna and several other items. The manager and waitress were very nice but it was hard to overcome everything else.
