The Wendy's manager on Mount Vernon named Heather!! Needs to be fired!!! I made an order in lobby. As I was waiting for my food, I literally heard her call an Autistic girl named Emma a retared MFer when she walked away and came trough recently and heard her cuss out an employee for at least 3 minutes. I asked, the sweet young girl Emma when she was leaving to go into her car with tears in her eyes , who she was yelling at. Bc I'm the only person there. She said it was her , she's talking to an employee, who is autistic!!
Then I heard her cuss out two teenage looking boys recently..I just started having an autistic kid working for me... I was absolutely appalled.. She is completely unprofessional needs to be fired

If I could mark it less than a star I would. The audacity of any food corporation to employ any one person let alone multiple people who neglected to change the cooking oil is disgusting and dangerous. I attempted to call on Friday 10/23/25 numerous times to inform them of what they already knew. During each call was forwarded to voicemail. My daughter experienced food poisoning from the extremely old grease used to prepare her meal along. Which I believe is why no one answered the phone because it was not busy during dinner! My daughter vomit for hours non stop and she was not able to keep anything down. She vomit in a store on the floor and multiple times after that and could not stop. I got no sleep and our entire sleep schedule and plans were disturbed. Thank God that she did not have to be admitted. I myself use what I have been educated with and experience to address it aggressively to ensure it did not escalate to dehydration and further issues. This is how a person that has been educated properly and trained properly operates. While 100% not straying from this for any reason. Which this location failed at miserably. No where does it state that grease that dark with that amount of build up should be reused . Even as a teen we kept the grease that we did use after frying, but we had enough sense to strain it so that all the residue was not included. It of course was not old toxic grease either and we had enough sense to know when it was time to dispose of it. This location had no decency or regard for any human life. They only care about getting through that strained day. We all struggle, but what we should never do is impact someone else health because of our own strain. Especially when there is a clear protocol for discarding old grease. This location ignored this and will continue to. Most like have always done it. That just took it to far on Friday and my family was affected. I was affected as well. Just not at the degree my child was.
I knew the food smelled burned when I got the bag. But in a rush I disregarded it because who would ever comfortably use old grease with the built up residue burned pieces on everything. The nuggets were dark from the oil and soft to touch. The fries had all the old residue from the expired toxic old oil. Pathetic and more pathetic. In my daughter’s vomit was the residue pieces from the old oil . In America we need to do better when it comes to protocol to ensure that things like this don’t happen. Wendy’s as a corporation is thriving and there is no excuse for what my child endured. Nobody finished their entire meal. My oldest daughter always wants more fries and nuggets. Nobody finished their entire meal. I usually am taking the salt off but on this day we were taking off the residue from the old grease. I’ve never in my life seen the such and will never again. I could go on with my disappointment but it’s clear there is no standard of conduct when it comes to safe food. We will never in our life eat at another Wendy's again and I will tell everyone I encounter about this experience. I am accountable in being in a rush and actually thinking that the bare minimum of basic common sense existed at Wendy’s on Mount Vernon Avenue. The dangerous and overall toxicity of old grease needs to be taught at the top to the bottom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I come here quite often. And every time I come though the drive though it’s always quality food and the service is always great. The manager Sherry is my favorite. When I see her at the window I know my food is going to be on point and nothing will be forgotten. There was one time a different manager was there and handed me my food and I was missing a burger. When I called she said she was from a different store and apologized. This just shows that Sherry always get my food and order right for me. Every time I come through she has a smile on her face and never seems like she’s rushing to get through the line. She and her crew always gives the best service. Other times when she’s not there we get pulled up to wait, which is fine. But Sherry never does that to me and I can tell she handles her crew and her job like a boss. Sherry you are the best. 👍👍
