The coffee is hit or miss and the donuts are horrible. God forbid you get an XL that is barely passable when it has that sour taste of improper brewing. I guess the US Patent Office was coffect in denying their slogan, "the best coffee in America." When it's good, it's good. When it's bad, it's terrible, and increasingly the latter. Once upon a time, Dunkin Donuts used to have an ad, "gotta make the donuts," implying the donut guy had to get up at night to make the donuts for the day. Not anymore! They are not even made at the store. They are made regionally and at 8AM, you're getting day-old donuts. Probably baked from frozen, no less. But therein is the point: gradually lower expectations so the customer accepts good enough in favor of efficiency. Just don't expect to enjoy it relative to a good product that Dunkin knowingly discarded in favor of profit. I'd rather pay double than drink this swill and eat stale bakery.
