Several misconceptions walking in as a first time diner. Didn’t expect to order at a counter. I like to spend a little time looking over a menu instead of ordering from a board behind the cash register when I don’t know my options. Also kind surprised there were so few options at a place that would seem to specialize in wings from the name of the restaurant. Oddly enough, we ordered burgers. And got a sample of wings - since that was supposed to be the specialty. The buffalo flavor on the wings was at my upper limit - and I was glad we only got 6 to share. Burger was very good. But it went against my usual MO walking I. A place known for one thing and ordering something else off the menu.
You go to the counter and get your own food and there’s a trash can for you to buss your own tables. We were there for a while catching up, and I didn’t see a single table get wiped down as people were coming and going. And the staff working the counter expect you to know what you want. Canned pop and bottled water are good for the takeout crowd, but not that great for the dine-in. And maybe that is their focus, people who know what they want and get it to go or delivery.

It’s possible we ordered the wrong items but some aspects of the meal were really good and some fell short of expectations.
The hot honey mozzarella sticks were phenomenal, best part of the meal hands down.
We also ordered the waffle, chicken sandwich and the loaded fries with Mac n cheese with tenders. The waffle sandwhich came with coleslaw on the sandwich (which we love coleslaw) however the coleslaw was very runny, which lead to the sandwich becoming soggy and hard to eat. The menu says the waffle is sweet but it was just a plain waffle, there was no flavor.
The loaded fries with Mac n cheese and tenders didn’t have any Mac n cheese on it, so it’s possible the staff accidentally gave us just the fries and forgot the Mac n cheese.
Again, it’s possible we ordered the wrong items but all in all, the meal fell short of the expectations we read in prior reviews.

Flaming Feathers is easily one of the best spots for chicken sandwiches. The chicken is always crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The spice levels are legit — you can actually taste the heat without it overpowering the food. Portions are solid, the buns are fresh, and everything tastes made to order.
The staff is friendly and the service is quick, even when it’s busy. If you’re a fan of hot chicken or just a really good chicken sandwich, Flaming Feathers is definitely worth checking out. I’ll for sure be coming back.

Honestly, this was my second time coming and it was just as terrible as the first time. They didn’t listen to anything I asked for just pretty much gave me what they wanted. Had no fries or make and cheese. Basically gave us chicken and sauce in a bag….. I asked for mild and got extra hot! Couldn’t even enjoy it. The wait time was outrageous. The truck is way better but was closed due to something being to frozen. I think I’ll stick to the truck for now only.
