  Store shelves are completely bare, I can’t find my favorite products, nobody works there anymore, so you can’t find anyone to ask for help, and even at the once busy rush hour, the store is dead quiet, 2-3 customers, a tiny handful of employees and the carts aren’t even being brought in anymore, they’re all in the cart storage areas in the parking lot and you have to go get one there. It’s been my go-to for decades because they carry locally made goods from places like Hartzler, Smith and Miceli’s dairies, locally made coffees, products from Devitis Italian market and Panera, and I can’t find these at other grocery stores like Giant Eagle or Meijer or Aldi or Walmart or anywhere else. But appearances strongly suggest that this store, which hasn’t restocked in WEEKS, is headed for closure and is just clearing out its existing stock to get rid of what little is left. All the signs are there: shorter hours, fewer staff, empty shelves, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the signs that Acme Kent is going out of business and sooner rather than later. Please let us know when your last day is so I can say goodbye to my longtime store where I have been a loyal customer for decades. I will need to know so I can transfer my prescriptions, too, because I JUST started using Acme Pharmacy a few weeks ago because they have the best price on my expensive cancer medication. Goodbye, Acme, you need to let us know when you’re closing this obviously underperforming store. It’s sad to see it go, but the writing is on the wall. Shorter hours, fewer staff, empty shelves. If I can see it, so can everyone else. 😕

  A wholesome weekly spot for me and my sisters! First off, let me say this store provides that old school vintage atmosphere and ambiance. Their hot foods where they sell fried chicken wings, tenders and Jojos are PHENOMENAL spiced and crispy fresh! For GREAT DEALS TOO! We even tried their homemade mac n cheese prepackaged hot and ready to go for a great price too! It was so cheesy and creamy! The staff were so kind and welcoming! Our first time here we didn't know their deals but they're so informative and helpful! Lovely baked goods too! I love going here with my sisters everytime we try new things and of course their prices on non perishables and personal necessities are affordable! I love ACME in Kent! I hope they never change the vibes here! 🙏 💖 - college students from Solon :)

  Old vibe here.. selection could be better... not many vegan selections for a college town...ok grocery store
