I've been going to this OS for a while. The problem with the facility is all dependent on their attitude when you go there. More often than not they typically have a very good attitude, and as a regular customer you remember those waiters that you personally prefer to serve you.

We had dinner there tonight 1/6/26. @ 4pm
*Blooming onion... good.
***Wife's prime rib***. TERRIBLE!! (Notice all CAPS).
They only serve prime rib on friday- sunday the menu says.. they made an exception for my wife because she doent eat other steak... but only could only cook it "medium" as it was coming from the freezer, that is what the cook told waiter.
It came out BURNT.. OVER SEASONED... prime rib is suppose to come juicy, and always PINK/grey even at "MEDIUM"
THIS CAME OUT BURNT & Dry!!
**NO Au Jus served over or on the side.
**No horseradish at all.
****Secondly,... my steak was the 13 oz. Ribeye*****....
It came out HIGHLY SEASONED, like the cook dropped the seasoning shaker and the lid came off on my steak!!
The seasoning was "crusted, burnt on" the steak.
It was salted SO MUCH, I scrapped it off.. though juicy and tender.. it was SUB-PAR for a ribeye!
We explained/showed this to our waiter.. and he said "he was sorry".
We took our steaks home in carryout containers, and I rinsed my ribeye off in the kitchen sink and the seasoning came off in pieces.. tasted it and it was a little better... I will try to eat for my lunch tomorrow... We hate to waste good money spent just to throw away $77.00 with NO DRINKS, just water.
We always go to Outback, but this location on Rockside Rd., will be on our "NEVER GO AGAIN" list.
Service was good,... ambience nice, food ...DEFINATELY BELOW SUB-PAR (as explained here)
We were expecting our usual experience, but what we got... was BELOW what we experinced
We aren't looking for free food, or compensation.
Just the whole experience didnt hit ANY HIGH MARKS this time.
Other than the salads & blooming onion.
MAYBE, this is a "owner operated" location outside of the Outback franchise and hence the experience we had being not up to PAR with other locations I'm sure corporate will investigate and protect their good name.
Sorry for this review but, it is what it is.. a review, though negative.

Update!!!!!
5 days later 1/10/26....
Manager contacted us, we explained in detail what our experience was like.
They agreed that they dropped the ball with the wrong seasonings being applied.
(CAUTION: they have a "NEW" seasoning that is 50% MORE SALT) that was used in the preparation of our food order...
Hence, the reason for "TOO MUCH SEASONING".
WE, want to remove the negative comments,
BUT, we also want to let customers know that extra salt seasonings are available if wanted.
So, we thank this Independence restaurant manager for contacting us and for understanding, listening and addressing our concerns and making things right!!
Outback is a great steakhouse..we are fortunate to frequent them 2-3 times a month on occasions.....
this was a by chance situation made POSITIVE.
Again, thank you for your time and understanding in this matter.

On Dec 21 2025 I came in with my daughter for dinner. Around 6pm.
The waiter was not really too friendly, I asked for a hot tea and lots of sugar...the water was straight from a sink and slightly hot and I got 2 packs of sugar. The tea was some generic brand I have never heard of and quite awful, and the food took about 45 minutes to arrive, only for the soup to be cold and the food was luke warm...and looked unappealing.
The food was HORRIBLE!
I canceled my order because I didn't like how it looked...
My daughter barely ate hers.
The waiter barely came to our table.
When the check came, I felt slightly offended to have to pay for the worst food ever!!
And when I tried to pay it had the nerve to automatically add $18.79 as a tip!!! I immediately removed it and left $7.00 on the table which again I felt extremely offended that I had to leave a tip for someone I barely even seen. The restaurant was not busy at all and the food and service was below satisfactory...all in all I would never eat here again.
I went to the one in Beachwood and lived it. I thought I would feel the same about this one... the entire ordeal was horrible...I drove over 30 minutes to get there. On the way home I had to pull over so my daughter could throw it all up...and when we got home my daughter said her stomach hurt quite badly and had diarrhea....I tried calling the restaurant and they put me on hold for about 30 minutes then hung up on me without speaking to anyone...

It's been a particularly difficult couple of months so I decided to treat myself to Outback. This is a big deal as I'm now raising my two grandchildren after my daughter recently passed away and money is tight. I ordered curbside and parked in a totally wrong place. I spoke to them several times and even decided to add on mushrooms for my steak after getting there. I have to say they were wonderful. The folks I talked to were so friendly and they just went above and beyond. The food was also excellent. This review was longer than I expected it to be but I wanted to emphasize that no one knows what anyone is going through. My experience here made my life a little bit better if only for a short time because of wonderful service and just being kind. So thank you Outback in Independence. I will be back and next time I'll park in the right spot.
