We have tried KKP several times now, as it's within walking distance of our house. The presentation of the business is great-- It's extremely cute and clean and the staff are (generally) friendly.
When we first started going, we just chalked our experiences to it being a new establishment, but it doesn't seem like the business has grown much since opening. Maybe we are trying the wrong products, but we have never walked away saying "wow, that was amazing" but instead have always left thinking everything we have tried is mediocre at best.
1) The items in the display case aren't labeled so it can be hard to know what is in the case. It would be nice if they labeled what items they have, so you could have a general idea of what flavor each pastry is. Sometimes it seems like staff get irritated when you ask what different items are-- especially during rushes.
2) They sell bagels, but they don't have any cream cheese or butter available for purchase, so if you plan to get a bagel, know you will have to wait to enjoy it until you get home. Just having the option to purchase little single-serve cups of cream cheese or pats of butter would be great.
3) Pricing seems high for some items-- for example, the cake donuts are really thin, and there just isn't much to them.
4) The quality of the items does not seem to be any better than more affordable options in the area. With a Tim Hortons and Jolly Pirate within a mile, we will probably stick with those establishments since the pricing is cheaper and the quality seems the same, if not better.
5) Coffee is really hit or miss. Sometimes it's hot and fresh, but other times it's cold and tastes funky.
We really want to love this small business and make visiting it part of our weekend routine, but we will probably stick to getting lunch at Clean Eats next door in the future. This place has soooo much potential to improve the customer experience for those hoping to enjoy their pastries and goodies at the establishment, rather than to go.

My daughter and I tried KKP for the first time, and wow — absolutely to die for. As someone who ran a home bakery for years, my family can be pretty picky when it comes to baked goods, so I don’t say this lightly: this was by far one of the best bakery experiences we’ve had.
The cheese Danish was melt-in-your-mouth incredible, and the strawberry Danish was a very close second. The quality, flavor, and texture were outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and truly special.
This wasn’t just grabbing pastries — it felt like an experience. Safe to say we’ll absolutely be back for donuts Saturday morning. Highly recommend! (Ps: They could charge double. This place is a steal)
