I almost never use cash, but I had some and wanted to use it; so my order was $14.61 and the guy handed me a $5 back (he made no acknowledgment that he owed me 39 cents). It’s not a big deal to me other than it is MY money to make that decision with and not his or this restaurant’s decision. Also, no straw was given for my drink. So I went to Raising Caines and got more food for the rest of the family and they provided the straw for me.

I’m extremely disappointed with the experience I had ordering my daughter’s birthday cake. I placed the order on March 15 and received confirmation. When I arrived on March 28 at noon, the scheduled pickup time, I was told they didn’t have my order and that it was “probably at another location.” I showed my confirmation with their address, and only then was I told they simply hadn’t made it. With my daughter’s party starting at 1 PM, I asked what could be done. I was offered 50% off a cake from the display case, but none of those matched the custom design my daughter had been excited about and helped plan. After some back and forth, my daughter even asked if they could just make the cake. At that point, we were told it could be done in about 10 minutes, which was frustrating because that option was never offered initially. We arrived at 12:00 PM and didn’t leave until 12:40 PM, despite being told it would only take about 10 minutes. Why didn't they offer this to begin with? Other than they didn’t care about the cake nor did they want to make it. But we agreed to have it made, especially after being told it would still be 50% off due to the inconvenience. And that was the only thing that would make my daughter happy. However, when I went to pay, I was only given 10% off, with no real explanation other than that I had “made them make it.” Given the situation and time constraint, I paid and left so we wouldn’t be late to the party as we already spent 40 minutes there. To make matters worse, the cake was rushed and sloppy. The “Happy 12th Birthday” message was partially covered with icing, which could have easily been avoided with more care. The manager never came out to address the issue, which was disappointing. I do want to note that the cashier (December) at the front was kind and clearly doing her best in a stressful situation that wasn’t her fault. Also, while we were waiting, I asked for a fountain drink for my 3-year-old and was still charged for it. Considering the circumstances, that lack of basic customer care was extremely frustrating. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. A confirmed order being completely missed, poor communication, and inconsistent handling of the situation made what should have been a happy moment for my daughter unnecessarily stressful.

We arrived at 9:15 and the girl that took our order told us they would be closing in 10 minutes, making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Then, while we were eating our ice cream, a good sized group of people walked in at 9:28. The same girl told them that they were closed. One of them said that the website said they were open until 11:00 (which is it does, I checked) but she insisted that even though it wasn’t 9:30 that they were closed, sending at least $50 in sales away. I couldn’t believe my ears.

I showed up 40 minutes before they were closed, the open sign was still on. However, they locked the doors and we’re ignoring the drive-through.
