Every time, I’ve always ordered the fish tacos, Mexican style (cilantro and onion), with pineapple mango salsa. Usually delicious—but tonight, the fish came out smelling rank. My husband (who got steak fajitas) pointed out before I did that something at our table smelled off. I thought it was the salsa, so I set that aside, but after taking a bite of the fish tacos—I knew it was that immediately. The fish smelled and tasted super off, like it just turned. I asked to send it back, and the restaurant was very accommodating and took it back. We weren’t upset—sometimes stuff happens. However, before we left, our waiter commented that “maybe the cilantro was an unfamiliar taste” to me. I know the difference between the smell/taste of cilantro and fish that was sour. Everything else we ordered was fine—fajitas (with cilantro, which was great), elote, margaritas—all was great.
