  I came here on rec from friends who live in Dayton. I thought it was great! The servers were prompt and friendly, the ice cream was delicious, and the place was decorated with cute chairs and tables. I got the blue raspberry chocolate chip. It was delicious and had a good sprinkling of chocolate throughout. There was plenty of parking in the area, and it was easy to navigate there and leave the parking lot. There is a step up to the curb, but otherwise the place is flat and great for those who may have mobility issues. The place is also very friendly towards kids and has plenty of space to move chairs around for larger groups. I would definitely visit again and recommend to others!

  Graeter's Ice Cream is something I have heard about from family members who live in the Dayton area. I had never tried it myself, but I got my chance on a recent visit to see my daughter at the University of Dayton. This Graeter's Ice Cream location is in nearby Oakwood, so it's only minutes away. We parked in front of the ice cream shop and made our way inside. My first impression was positive. The interior is larger than expected, with lots of seating. You form a line on one side and then make your way to the counter, to place your order. The options available include cones, dishes of ice cream, shakes, and larger treats. My wife selected a dish of ice cream with a single scoop. I decided on the Turtle Sundae. The presentation of my sundae wasn't the best, but in part it's because the guy making it seemed a little rushed. He was the only person behind the counter, so I can't really blame him for feeling hurried. Having a second employee to help out would have made all the difference. As for the quality of the ice cream and the sundae, it was good, but not the greatest I've had. Still, it was good enough to recommend a visit. Oh, and I also liked the extra items they have available, like chocolate bars and toppings, for take home. Overall, I found Graeter's Ice Cream in Oakwood Ohio a good place for an afternoon sweet treat. Good ice cream, and a large welcoming space to gather with family and friends make Graeter's a good option next time you find yourself in Dayton Ohio and in need of something sweet.
