Burntwood Tavern is a place where rustic and modern elements mend seamlessly to create a casually-stylish environment. Meeting friends for a quick bite, stepping out for a quick drink, or a place to host your next large celebration - Burntwood is your one stop destination on the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cuyahoga Falls
Historic reclaimed barn wood, exposed brick, massive wooden beams complemented by hand blown glass lighting and contemporary touches…create a bright, inviting, and character-filled space for travelers, families, and traditionalist Clevelanders alike.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere provides the perfect showcase for its straight forward, chef driven menu of smoked and wood grilled food including prime rib of beef, baby back ribs, faroe island salmon and fresh salads along with sandwiches served with hand cut fries. The bar serves handcrafted cocktails, constructed with fresh juices and house-infused flavored vodka and bourbon, as well as local offerings from a diverse craft beer list.
Burntwood Tavern is open daily for lunch, dinner, happy hour, after work crowds, and is a great place to meet for cocktails and conversation. Brunch and a make your own Bloody Mary Bar is also offered on Saturdays and Sundays.
Service was mediocre. No one was super friendly or overtly rude. It was not the standard I had hoped a restaurant of this caliber would have.
For the price that you are paying, the food quality is lacking. $175 for a table of burgers and it took close to an hour for our food to come out.
The burgers were served lukewarm/cold. We were starving by that point so we didn’t really have a choice since it would probably take another hour to get it heated up. Fries are also clearly not fresh and thawed.
I might understand if it was packed, but it wasn’t. There were maybe 30-40 people there. 15 or so in our area, maybe 15-20 in the bar area, no one in the special room section and maybe a couple outside.
This place used to be the place to be. Now I cannot recommend it to anyone. It’s incredibly frustrating to watch good restaurants fall apart due to poor standards.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner here on April 17, 2026 since it was walking distance from our reception venue. Overall disappointing due to a combination of things.
1. The food was cold and ended up giving the bride food poisoning the morning of the wedding.
2. The table set up was disorganized and unwelcoming. There was no place for the bride and groom to sit and they ended up sitting at a table alone which was disappointing since the point of the rehearsal dinner was for everyone to be together.
3. The servers did not once ask the bride and groom if they wanted anything to drink. The bride and groom were given water by family members since nothing was provided.
4. It was confusing for guests- guests didn’t know where to go for the rehearsal dinner and restaurant staff seemed unhelpful. They just said the room over there in the corner. Many guests were confused on where to go once inside the restaurant.
5. The first red flag should have been the lack of communication. We reached out for months to schedule the rehearsal dinner here and never received responses. We even went in person to inquire and lacked communication and information. Despite this we still chose this place due to the close proximity for all our out of town guests.
Overall disappointing venue to host a rehearsal dinner. With the price for food it should have been warm and not cold.

Awesome outdoor view. Took so long to order our meals and then my 18$ salad, every side leaf had pink/brown so my fiance split his burger with me and it was unbearably salty. Luckily they took my salad off the bill. Great view though... server was nice. Just took 5 ever to check out too.

Went downhill slightly. Honestly used to be 10/10 but after today I probably wouldn’t go back. We haven’t had any issues at the fairlawn location. The food was good and the waitress was nice but the plates were dirty, silverware dirty, and both our drinks & glasses had things in them two times in a row. We stopped in about 8 months ago and the plates & silverware were dirty then but I figured it was a one off. Honestly the food was great but just slightly need closer attention to details.

The worst service ever! We were seated, and waited for about 20 minutes before someone came over and apologized for the wait. Our server asked for our drink order and we received it 10 minutes later. We placed our order then and our lunch took 25 minutes to receive. Our lunch was cold and overly salted. Our server never returned to ask how our lunch was and we had to track down a server to ask for our bill. We will never ever go there again again!
