I used to eat at outback steakhouse a lot more frequently, but since the prices have gone up so much, it's become only a very special occasion type of event for me.
On this particular night, things were quite slow and quiet, so the service was great, and the food was very yummy. My steak, supposed to be medium well, was more medium, and a little undercooked. Unfortunately, I arrived about an hour before they were closing, and was in a bit of a hurry to eat and get out before closing time, otherwise I would have asked the steak to be thrown on the grill again a little longer.
I always love the Alice springs chicken, but unfortunately the price for that item is almost as much as steak. I still love eating here, but can't really justify the price. This is not a gourmet or luxury steakhouse, like Jeff Ruby's or j Alexander.
Overall it was a positive experience for me, and I was expensing the meal to my company, because I was here on a business trip. But I definitely eat at outback steakhouse a lot less, since the prices have inflated so much, and it's not really worth the experience, even though the food is good. 🥺
Fortunately, I did have a great server, who offered a+ service, and it made me feel "a little bit better" about spending almost $50 for dinner for one person, tip included. 🫱🏻🫲🏼
