This gem of a restaurant in downtown Columbus is a Palestinian-owned cafe that offers some of the most delicious and savory brunch I’ve ever had the privilege of tasting. I’ve taken at least 6 or 7 different friends here to try the mixed breakfast bowl because it doesn’t feel fair to keep this knowledge to myself. Additionally, not a lot of places downtown offer brunch AND hand-crafted lattes, so if you’re a coffee lover, you’re in for a treat! Speaking of treats, they also have a variety of delicious desserts made in house, so there’s truly something for everyone here. If you haven’t tried Silav yet, why the heck not? ***The one star reviews being left currently are from a scammer who is threatening to continue leaving them from different accounts until the restaurant pays a ransom.***

Salad with grilled chicken had a good quantity of chicken and came with a c reamy yogurt dressing. Excellent house hot-tea blend served on a beautiful golden tea tray. Gyro was not huge but was delicious. For dessert we had a slice of delicious pistachio cheesecake with chocolate topping. The filling was light, creamy, almost fluffy, and the crust was thin and a little crunchy. We were glad to discover this unique restaurant downtown and would visit again in the future. 😋

We had a lovely time at Silav, the meat is all halal Kurdish / Mediterranean style cuisine. It is downtown Columbus right near the courthouse complex. We went for breakfast on a Sunday, the street parking downtown is normally paid but free on Sundays and there was plenty available (weekdays is a different story). We ordered a breakfast sandwich with naan bread and beef sausage as well as a breakfast bowl with eggs, potato, pepper, onion, and mushroom. Both were delicious. We also had Kurdish tea and lattes. Everything was delicious I would highly recommend, hope to return for lunch or Dinner one day Insha'Allah.

Been here twice in the last couple of weeks. Amazing food, friendly staff, very nice atmosphere. Bathrooms are clean and supplied. Kurdi kebab and gyro are excellent. Falafel salad comes with a very generous serving size. The tea is a definite must-try here. You can even buy to brew at home.
