We had a mixed experience at Mastro’s last night. We had a 7:00 PM reservation, but our table clearly wasn’t ready when we arrived. We were awkwardly left standing in the entrance with nowhere to go, constantly in the way of servers — not a great first impression for a high-end restaurant. Our server was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. Unfortunately, the cocktails took an unusually long time to come out, which was frustrating. We were also told they were out of the lobster appetizer, yet we kept seeing lobster dishes being served to other tables throughout the night, which didn’t really make sense. The steak was good and cooked well. However, the sides were disappointing. The French fries tasted like frozen bagged fries — something you’d expect from fast food, not a premium steakhouse. The creamed corn was also underwhelming, with very tough kernels. Great service from our server, but between the hosting issues, slow bar service, and subpar sides, the experience didn’t quite live up to the price point.

Mastro’s has quickly become a go-to choice for both my corporate functions and personal nights out, because it consistently delivers on food, service, and atmosphere. Working with the private events team at Mastro’s has also been seamless; they are organized, responsive, and clearly experienced in handling corporate meetings and special functions. Mastro’s fits perfectly into the energy of Easton.

One of my favorite nice restaurants in Columbus. First, we were there on December 24th, and it was understandably packed. Irrespective of this, the service and food were excellent. I get the filet mignon at every nice place I go. The filet was one of the best, if not the best, anywhere. The server, "Notch" was funny and professional. Not your typical phony server in a nice restaurant. The manager stopped by our table, as he was talking to everyone. Super nice and friendly guy. Made us feel very welcome. I will be definitely be returning here.

Mastro's Columbus is located along the tributary roads that lead to the heart of Easton Town Center. A high end American style Steakhouse offering $300 wine specials and its own select whiskey menu. The restaurant pairs seafood appetizers, sushi and classic soup and salad combos with some fine steaks. The crab cocktail and carpaccio appetizers seemed bland and oddly uninspired. The main attraction, my 18oz bone in strip was cooked perfectly and had a great compound butter that stood apart from the XL sides (twice baked, lobster Mac & broccolini). The desserts looked pretty but didn't deliver the payoff I expected after leaving food on my plate and a little room to indulge. The atmosphere was vibrant, with live music, I would say it's loud but you can still carry a conversation. The staff was attentive and very professional from server, to busser to expo. The cocktails were well prepared but I felt I had better at a place like High Bank. I guess overall, this Mastro's is like a Range Rover, lot's of flash and pizzaz but once you're in it, you learn it's not worth the sticker price other than the signal it sends about your status.
