My chicken was undercooked. I was dining with my child and met other family members there. We were on separate checks. In total, there were 3 adults, 2 children, and 1 toddler who did not eat or order anything. Despite this, the restaurant added a 20% automatic gratuity, claiming we were a party of 6. On our check, they even wrote that we were a party of 8, which was inaccurate, especially since we were clearly on separate bills.
After returning home, both my child and I had diarrhea and stomach pain. I ended up throwing away my leftovers due to concern.
Service was also lacking. We were never offered drink refills. The lemonade tasted very bad, and the chocolate milk seemed like plain milk with chocolate syrup mixed in. My child did not like it at all.
Additionally, the chef did not engage with us, explain anything, or perform any of the typical hibachi tricks, such as with the egg. The overall experience felt rushed and inattentive.
Between the food safety issue, incorrect gratuity charge, and poor service, this visit was extremely disappointing and not what I expect from this type of restaurant.

Nice place near Polaris. Very open seating, they packed as many grills in as small space as they could so it feels a bit cramped. Service was a bit lacking, waiter got my drink rkder wrong after checking back three times. Busboy took away my requested bowl for rice and had a bit of a fiasco to get another.
Food and chef were on point at least. Generous portions. Very entertaining chef. Food was cook just right and seasoning was great too!

I have been dining at this Japanese restaurant for the past ten years, and it has remained one of my favorite places for both sushi and Hibachi. Over the years, I have watched it maintain a consistent level of quality in its food, and the chefs—especially those at the Hibachi tables—continue to impress with their skill, presentation, and friendly energy. Whether you are watching a chef expertly cook steak and shrimp right in front of you or enjoying beautifully crafted sushi rolls, the craftsmanship is evident in every dish.
The sushi here is always fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Classic rolls are executed perfectly, and their specialty rolls consistently offer a great balance of texture and taste. The Hibachi experience is equally memorable. The chefs combine showmanship with precision, and the portions are generous. The flavors are rich without being overpowering, and the vegetables, rice, and proteins are cooked to an ideal tenderness.
What truly stands out after a decade of visits is the restaurant’s commitment to maintaining its standards. The staff is generally attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm, family-friendly, and lively—especially around the Hibachi tables.
That said, I have noticed occasional delays in service over the last few years. While the food has remained excellent, wait times for seating or for dishes to arrive can sometimes be longer than expected, particularly during peak hours. This hasn’t overshadowed the overall dining experience, but it is something to be aware of if you plan to visit on a busy weekend.
Overall, this restaurant continues to deliver outstanding Japanese cuisine with reliable quality and a fun dining experience. Despite minor service delays, the wonderful food, entertaining chefs, and long-standing consistency keep me coming back after ten years—and I expect to return many more times in the future.
