Abby and Amara were amazing—super attentive and gave great drink recommendations. The ubie cocktail was floral with a nice citrusy balance, really unique.
We started with the octopus and braised mushrooms—the mushrooms were a huge hit and a must-order. For brunch, we had the crab melt, Korean fried rice, and ham hash. My partner loved the ham hash, and the crab melt (my go-to) was perfect, especially with the sweet potato fries and garlic aioli.
Amara made an incredible espresso martini, and we finished with the lavender crème brûlée and coffee. Everything was on point—highly recommend!

Such a great experience. Started with the pork banh bao which was delicious and tender, perfectly prepared. The kimchi potatoes were also perfectly cooked, and super flavorful. The crab melt was also cooked well with crispy buttery bread and rich and creamy melt. Huge fan of everything we had, the atmosphere and our server was attentive and kind. Will definitely be recommending to others and will be back soon!

MIL wanted to try a Triple D spot so this was our first stop. We hesitated on even staying because the staff was rude, no drink menus available, specials were on a QR Code only, and staff wouldn't even tell us when asked! The ONLY reason we stayed was for the Bao Buns, which are delicious! Calamari was soggy, and Warm Goat Cheese plate left alot to be desired! We didn't even order entrées. Definitely would not return here for another chance due to the staff's unpleasant behavior. Pretty sure Guy wasn't treated like that!

Bottom line: Very good appetizers and deserts, but the main plates were a bit overcooked. Would definitely try again though.
Appetizer: Banh Bao was AMAZING. It was really a burst of flavors that you taste separately and at the same time. I could have eaten a whole dinner of these. I would go back for just these. They are really special! They make the dough themselves and it shows. I wanted to try their kimchi dishes but I had a meeting later and could not make my client suffer kimchi breath.
Dessert: Lemon Ricotta Cake and Creme Brulee. Both were excellent. The Creme Brulee being most memorable because of the hint of lavender. Both solid choices though.
Main Entree:
I had the bbq ribs which had good flavor, but were a tad bit dry. My friend had the chicken sandwich which also was a skosh dry. The ketchup or whatever tomato based sauce they serve with the fries is novel. I hesitate to say I disliked it, but I wasn't sure what to make of it. It didn't go that well with my sweet potato fries.
Staff:
Staff was very good and attentive. A real pleasure to dine with.
Drinks: I had a very tasty and interesting early grey with soda cocktail. I wish it had more tea flavor, but that is not a knock on the drink as it was well balanced.
Overall:
If all I had was the main entree, I would rate 3 stars, but the Banh Bao really is a 5 star dish, and the desserts were solid. Staff, atmosphere and the Banh Bao brings this up to a 4.

Fat Cats is a really suprising restaurant. It's menu is a fusion of American and Asian flavors. Which is really exciting to find in Cleveland. This place was featured on diners drive ins and dives. In the episode Guy tried the Arroz Caldo which is probably the standout dish at this place. It's a savory rice porridge and it's phenomenal. I'd suggest it with the chicken the more natural chicken allows the spices of the dishes to become more prominent. But don't be fooled all the food here is good. The dumplings here are also amazing. With an excellent vegtable filling. The Banh Báo is also very good as well the Báo bun where really pillow like in texture. The biggest issue is have with this place is that there is no physical menu. You are given a QR code to scan and are taken to the fat cats website. It requires you to have your smart phone out. It also requires everyone to know how to use a smart phone. This placedoes have a parking lot but it is super tiny and you will not likely get a spot in it. There is street parking all around though. This place does tend to get busy so do not be surprised by a wait. But it is worth it.
Fat Cats serves American cuisine with unique dishes like gourmet burgers, sweet potato fried shrimp, and duck carnitas, using many locally sourced ingredients.
