I’ve been to Build the Pho many times and it used to be one of my favorite places. I even recommended it to friends before. But recently the food quality has gone down a lot while the prices keep going up, which is really disappointing.
First, the shrimp rolls. They used to be one of my favorite items. Two rolls used to feel very filling because they were packed with big, whole shrimp. This time the shrimp were very small and even cut in half. It honestly felt like there was barely any shrimp inside.
Then the chicken wings and fried calamari. I don’t even know where they found chicken wings that small!!! They were tiny. The fried calamari was also disappointing, it felt like mostly fried batter with very little actual squid.
What makes this even more disappointing is that this place used to be really good. That’s why I came back so many times and recommended it to friends. I’ve seen how good it used to be, so the drop in quality now is very noticeable.
I understand that prices go up everywhere, but raising prices while lowering the food quality just doesn’t make sense.
Sadly I probably won’t be coming back, and I won’t be recommending this place anymore.

I used to like this place so much and recommended to all of my friend but the food quality has dropped a LOT!!
I used to feel full for only eating two of shrimp rolls, that was how big it used to be. but now the shrimp roll is tiny and 7 dollars for two. The shrimp inside is cut in half and already very small. It barely feels like there is any shrimp.
The pho is worse now too. The beef brisket is sliced extremely thin and the soup tastes weak. The fried squid used to be a good portion. Now you only get eight small pieces.
Prices keep going up while the food quality keeps going down…. I don’t know why the owner decides to do this, also she admitted that she made this decision at the beginning of the semester so that new students won’t know this change. WHY DO YOU DUPE STUDENTS?? There are many better options nearby, definitely not gonna eat in the future.
Service is good the waitress is super friendly.

I stopped in to grab some pho today and I’m so glad I did. Best pho I’ve had in my life by a long shot. The broth is amazing, and I decided not to eat it for a bit, and was pleasantly surprised that they packed it in separate containers so it remained very fresh. I also got spring rolls and the basil chicken, which were also excellent. The young lady at the front was very friendly, and my to go order came out quickly. Fantastic place.
粉很好吃!里面配料分量很大,但是千万!千万!不要点下面的蜜桃乌龙茶!如图二所示4dollar➕就给了一个几毛钱成本的茶包!你把茶包拿走我都不说什么了,太过分了!

Don't eat here, they served me raw food. I asked them if they could cook it a little more, and they refused. I read reviews before coming here; some people said bad things about this place. I still gave them a chance and wanted to try their food, but they were terrible. I just asked if they could cook it a little more, and they said no. I had to yell loudly before a young girl came out to help me reheat it. They served me raw food in this cold weather, with the meat still cold. And on Google there are really beautiful pictures of food, but when I got there and ordered, there was nothing there at all. The food was terrible, tasteless. I ordered two bowls of pho, a cup of hot tea, and a portion of spring rolls, and the bill was over $80. Currently, there's a Nipah disease outbreak affecting all countries, and the WHO is also talking about it on CNN. And yet, they cooked the food for me raw. I asked them very gently to help me reheat and cook it a little more, but the lazy waiter didn't help. This restaurant is very dangerous to eat in. This waiter has no conscience; he wants me to eat raw food. I'm Vietnamese, and this is Vietnamese food. I know whether it's raw or cooked before I put it in my mouth. The beef was still ice-cold when they put it in my bowl of pho.
