  To start, it took a while to get seated and was ignored by the staff walking around. And once someone came to the host station, they did not say hello, let alone greet us. At the table we got water fast, but took about 10 minutes for the actual fountain drinks. And the waiter took our order after about 20-25 minutes of waiting. Now the thing is, i totally get being understaffed and trying to navigate other tables, but I feel as though the service was not equated to the lack of seated tables on the inside. Additionally, once he put the order in, it took about 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive, and it was salty, mushy, and everyone at the table was disappointed. I just wish the food worth coming back for, as the area and location of the restaurant is so lively :(

  Tonight was my first visit to Barrio and now I have to go back! We don’t live close but happened to be in the area and I’m so thankful we stopped. I loved the vibe and the margaritas were perfect. Ember was our server and he was super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drink options. Looking forward to my next visit!

  My wife and I love the food at Barrio always open late when we need it and super chill environment. Ember is the best server I’ve ever had at any barrio. Normally food is good and servers are fine. He really made it feel like a higher end restaurant experience!

  We showed up to an empty restaurant for brunch. We left a half hour later not getting our small food order. Unfortunately the server seemed more concerned about the snow in the bathroom.

  My husband and I have been going to Barrio for years, but we never thought to leave a review! If you’ve previously had a bad experience here, they seem to be under new management, and I highly recommend giving it another shot. Our bartender was Ember and we will surely be coming back for him! He greeted us very quickly with a lot of energy and happiness. It felt like he was genuinely glad to have us as guests and we felt very welcomed. He took the time to explain the tacos of the month and gave us honest insights on menu items to find the right fit for us. Also, Ember went above and beyond with our drinks by asking for our tequila of choice in our margaritas. I had never been asked that before, so Ember guided me through their tequila list to find the right fit for me! I got a mango margarita with the suavecito aneho and it was perfect! I highly recommend ordering the suavecito tequila because it is extremely smooth with little to no bite! For the tacos, I ordered a tofu taco, while my husband ordered the smash burger. These have both been our favorites for years, and they always come out delicious! The atmosphere can get pretty loud (the music is loud + busy dinner service), but it is family friendly and perfect for any event. We will definitely be returning to Barrio soon!
