Waited 25 minutes for a drink. After 45 minutes of waiting for an appetizer, I had to call it quits and just pay for the drink and head across the street. The restaurant was totally dead and no reason for the wait. The hostess and server were very apologetic and polite, but I didn’t want to spend 2 hours on a dinner.

I had a very disappointing experience around 3:30pm at McCormick & Schmick’s downtown. I ordered my brother a drink and sat there waiting for the bartender or a manager to come back and check on us… and no one ever did.
When she finally returned, I had to grab someone else just to ask if we could pay our bill. At that point, I mentioned that I actually wanted to order food, and her response was, “Don’t you see I’m busy helping other people?” Completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
What made the situation even more unbelievable was that one of her regulars stepped in and offered to pay our bill if I wouldn’t say anything—because she’s a single mother having a bad day. While I can have compassion for anyone going through something, that is not the guest’s responsibility to absorb poor service.
When I was fighting my health battle with cancer coming to work every single day I would never treat my guests the way that I was treated today. What if I showed up to work and treated my guests poorly because I wasn’t feeling well or was having a bad day? That would never be acceptable—and it shouldn’t be in this situation either.
As someone who has spent years in hospitality, I would never allow this type of service from my team. Being busy or having personal challenges is not an excuse to disrespect guests.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this place. The sad thing about this entire situation it was the general manager of the restaurant that treated us this way.
Olyvia was not the best waitress. She brought me the wrong drink to start. Every time I asked for something she forgot to bring it. I asked for blue cheese dressing, she brought out crumbled blue cheese. She dropped 🫳🏾 my asparagus on the floor. I was not at Applebee's I expected better service. Very disappointed. When you dine at a place like this. It's the experience as well as the food. The food was fire 🔥.

Ate here with my partner on Saturday and had a fantastic meal. Our server, Olivia, was attentive and friendly. I had a raspberry mule that was tasty and refreshing. The lobster bisque certainly lives up to the hype -- I regret getting a cup instead of a bowl. The brussel sprouts were among the best I've ever had, since the dressing was not overpowering. The seafood alfredo was the perfect portion, the sauce was not broken or greasy, and they were generous with the shrimp and scallops. I look forward to returning!
Service is extremely slow and encountered an extremely rude waitress. Took 2 hours before I got an actual entree. Meeting started at 6:30p and didn’t get plate until 8:45p. Tried to flag down the waitress multiple times around 8p and I was given the busy finger. She never came back over to help and ultimately I was just completely ignored. I just wanted water, and a salad to snack on because I was getting a headache due to long wait . I’ve worked in the restaurant before it is unacceptable to outright ignore a guest like that. Especially, as there were a few times I saw the waitress standing in the back corner not doing anything. There was plenty of time to follow up before the actual entrees came out but she didn’t.
In terms of the food, the salad didn’t come with any dressing (unable to get this corrected due to lack of attention of the waitress), my steak wasn’t properly done ordered medium and it was rare. Had to ask for water to get refilled multiple times . I didn’t even bother trying to ask the waitress a third time to assist me with these issues with the salad and steak as I was blatantly ignored before hand! My colleagues even pointed out that as dessert was getting served at the end of the meeting the same waitress filled up everyone’s water glasses at the table except mine and didn’t give me a to go box! I had to ask another server for water, bag and a to go box. Again, unacceptable and just downright rude! It’s was just not a good experience from start to finish! Jeff ruby is right across the street would highly recommend as the service is excellent.
