  MexCantina, which is situated on Erie Avenue in Cincinnati, OH, is a great little spot for casual Mexican fare + a cozy atmosphere near Hyde Park Square! I recently visited for the first time with my boyfriend to sit at the bar to have a quick cocktail & a bite to eat while we were in the neighborhood, and we had a great experience. First, their Handcrafted Margaritas are really good - I tried their House Margarita, which hit the spot. Further, their food is great!! We stuck to appetizers & shareable plates during our visit, and I highly recommend their Bean Dip, Chips & Salsa, and side of Rice & Beans. Their appetizer portion of Guacamole is good as well (although not the best I've had in my experience). The staff at MexCantina are very kind, helpful, and accommodating, which added to our experience. Additionally, the restaurant is clean, well-kept, and the vibe of the place is very warm, inviting, and comfortable. This is a great spot to check-out in Hyde Park, Cincinnati!

  Came for lunch for taco week. Our server wasnt attentive at all. Went without a water refill for probably almost 20 min until someone else stopped by and saw it was empty. It wasnt busy at all. We saw her when we sat down, and then checked on us after our food was delivered by someone else, and then to give the check. Maybe 3 tables outside and 2-3 filled inside. Food was ok, kind of bland unless you put the salsa and onions on it. Forgot our guac and had to remind them, we wanted it for our chips but it didnt come out until after our food came and we mentioned we hadn't received it. Chips and salsa good. The rest just ok.

  Great place . First time visiting. The decor is beautiful and if the weather were a bit warmer we would have sat outside in the courtyard area. Promptly greeted and I believe we were speaking with the owner. He told us everything is in house made. The tortillas are made in the corner of the restaurant at a mini station. Definitely can taste the difference . Our tacos were so delicious and the presentation was so nice . Love supporting local restaurants and we will definitely be back.
