I hear lots of people say that one place or another has the “best burgers ever,” but I’ve tried them all - and as long as the meat is real (because obviously I can differentiate between a real beef burger and some pre-formed patty full of fillers and preservatives), I have never been able say that one is the “best.” They’re all meat and toppings. HOWEVER… There are a lot of ways that a burger can be experienced, and Five Guys feels special. They have their system, and it works. It’s a tried and true menu with a handful of unchanging essentials served by a crew that’s proud of what they do. I like that they offer a lettuce wrapped “bunless” version, and the overly generous portion of Cajun Fries always hit the spot. Most of all, I like that I know what I’m getting, and that answer will be the same in five years.
