We sat at the bar and the bartender Phillip was awesome. Great service. Great reccomendations. Super nice guy. Would sit at his bar any day of the week. The food was amazing. We got the Parriladilla for two and it was excellent. The empanadas were to die for. We got the de Carne and the short rib. The short rib was next level. Def gonna be back here. Great vibes, all the employees were chill and not stressing, which means it is being properly managed. This place is a nice little off the beaten patch gem in OTR district. Loved everything about it.

We thoroughly enjoyed an array of empanadas and a wine flight. The empanadas—which all look alike on the outside—arrived “branded“ with labels to tell us which was which. We dined on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was not busy, but it seemed a bit understaffed which accounted for the slightly spotty service. That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Che’s original OTR location (Che has an additional location on Madison Road in O’Bryonville).

We came to this place expecting an Argentinian experience. We ordered the flank steak tacos and diced flank steak sandwich. The flavor was ok however we got ground beef tacos and a ground beef sandwich that had a consistency of a burguer. When we asked if this was the grilled flank steak meat the waiter went to ask the kitchen to make sure what kind of meat it was but he didn’t apologize and explained to us that it was a different kind of cut even mentioning that it was grilled sirloin. We were disappointed, if you grind the steak and make a burguer then it’s better to mention it on the description. In Argentina the way you cut and present meat is very important, ground beef is not the same as diced meat, it’s a different feel and flavor, and I think that is also the case in many other countries.

Si te gusta la carne molida en lugar de carne argentina, estas en el lugar correcto. Pedimos los tacos y el sanguche de lomo y ambos eran con carne molida. Y cuando le reclamamos al camarero nos dijo que usaban “sirnoin steak”

First off, the food was delicious. And all by itself, totally worth checking this place out.
But more important was the staff. I should have got some names, I'm awful at that. Our server made excellent suggestions that we took advantage of, that did not not disappoint. He was very specific and we definitely appreciated that. He checked on us just often enough to make sure we had everything we needed, but not so we felt hurried at all.
Then the bartender brought a beer for one of our group that wasn't quite what was expected and without going into a ton of unnecessary details, he saw there was a tiny bit of disappointment. What he did to make it better almost took me to tears, it was so kind. (She had brought a koozie that wouldn't fit a glass. He brought out a second glass - without asking or being asked - wrapped in a koozie.)
This simple act of kindness was so small and clearly not to repair anything that had happened or anything that needed to be fixed. It was just one human recognizing they could go one step further.
I would recommend this place for the food, but I would love to see support for this business because of their people.
