- SGSam GabellaJan 24, 20265.0saturday january 24th 2026, the last weekend night before what may be akron's worst snow storm for this decade or may just be another few inches on top of an already wet winter, the store staff were in full, the bakery was working hard to make lots of fresh bread, the non-perishable soups, beans, vegetables, stocks were all discounted to under 80 cents a can and piled high right after the front door, the water was stocked full, and each register was staffed adequately to avoid any lines...no shortages, no backups, the store was jam packed and acme accommodated, clearly staff were prepared, and my weekend shopping went smoothly as everyone was in preparation for possible power outages or snow-ins
