Employee refused to sell alcohol to me cause my ID was out of state (I’m 27 years old) and even refused to sell to my girlfriend either when she lives here just cause she was with me. There is no law or business in America that doesn’t accept out of state IDs in general but refusing to serve my girlfriend either when we’re both legal adults is absolutely ridiculous. All the employees were very rude and disrespectful as well.

This ACME has been my go-to grocery store but I think I have to switch. In the past 30 days I’ve had 3 instances where food I purchased was not safe to eat. In mid October I placed a curbside order and got two packs of bacon that said “use by sept 3”. Not “best by” but “use by”. A week later I bought burger buns and got home to discover a rat had chewed the packaging a large bite out of one of the buns. Tonight I bought two packs of ground beef, and both packs had black plastic ground into the meat itself. At the customer service desk I pointed out the whole batch is likely contaminated and the response I got was “probably.” I have serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety at this location, and I don’t plan to shop here anymore.

I usually have a great shopping experience at Acme. This review is not related to the shop itself as I love shopping at acme.
This review is related to a specific incident that I noticed on sept 4, 2025..an old gentleman with disabilities was having trouble with self checkout and employee Elisabeth at the self checkout counter was pretty irritated at having to help the gentleman.
She berated him for not using the regular checkout (which was pretty backed up) and throughout her “helping” him she was scolding/chiding him for his “error”.
Employee was on her phone immediately after. I guess priorities differ for Elisabeth. 🤷♀️
