Here is a clear, polished rewrite that keeps your message and emotion but reads more composed and credible:
I first heard about this place from a friend and had a catering order delivered for a company meeting in Tarrytown. At the time, the food was good and the delivery driver was great, which gave me a positive impression.
Unfortunately, when I later visited the restaurant in person with my husband, my experience was very different. The customer service was extremely disappointing. We interacted with two women, one in the back of the house and one at the register. When we approached to place and pay for our order, we were not greeted at all. No hello, no smile, nothing. The only interaction we received was a flat βCan I take your order.β
Despite my instinct to leave, we placed our order anyway. The food was fine, nothing memorable, but the lack of basic courtesy overshadowed everything. At the end of the day, customers are choosing to spend their money at your establishment. A simple greeting or a sense of appreciation goes a long way.
There are many good Mexican restaurants in Yonkers, but we chose to come here. Unfortunately, after this experience, we did not return. For me, kindness and basic respect matter just as much as the food, it take so little to be kind.
