The employee started making my sandwich while wearing gloves, which is expected. But then she walked away, used the shared touchscreen register (the one everyone touches), and came back ready to keep making my food with the same gloves on. I politely said, “Hey, I get sick easily—can you please change your gloves?” which I feel is a basic, reasonable request. Instead of just doing it, she gave me this irritated look like I was asking for something outrageous. But that’s not an “extra”—it’s literally food safety 101. You shouldn’t be touching dirty surfaces and then going back to making someone’s sandwich without changing gloves. If I hadn’t spoken up, she would’ve kept going. That’s not okay. Cleanliness and respect for customers’ health should be non-negotiable. Do better.
