I seldom go to this Acme and after today's experience, I'll probably go less. I rang up a bag of Kaiser Rolls, which was priced at $4.99 with a date of 4/07/26. The price came up as $6.99. When I point this out to one of the employees, he says that it's not even April yet, it's March 29th. So I took the item back and walked out of the store.
I don't think I like to eat my bread fresh. Why should wait until the bread is getting mold to get the sticker price? By then, it's pigeon food.

Great place, whether you order online or visit the store, it's great, and the employees are nice. They come to the car and register. The guy in the meat department was nice as well. Clean place great prices.
I'm not changing my review because I didnt get helped well today. But, I did take 1 star. But my cake did not come out like the picture, but I bought it anyway the price wasn't right either but it was fixed after I called for help, the lady last night wasn't helpful another worker walking by helped more. How I place an order online and then I walk in with a confirmation number she says she doesn't know, what's the point of a confirmation number acme do better. It was handled, then I went to check out at customer service I was told I couldn't check out there which is weird a guy in front of me was checking out with a beer, and then another came and they just laughed. You can see..I walked away went to self check out and yes I took a picture. Employees need to do better, they were standing on their phones as well, you can see. Mainly the lady with the blue colored hair. I understand your not suppose to check out with a lot of item I had 1 and no was around look in the pictures. So the cake online says 9.99 but the cake was for 16.99 they fixed it, in the photo it says 7.99 but that price wasnt for my area. They do have good cakes as you can see but this one didnt make the market, had to get another one, already made i could see didnt have time.

I was a loyal customer at the ACME Markets on McLean Avenue in the Bronx for years, regularly spending hundreds of dollars after finishing my overnight shifts. I no longer shop here because of how I’ve been consistently treated by one morning self-checkout employee.
There is a middle-aged employee with dusty blonde hair who, every time she sees me, stops what she’s doing and positions herself directly over me while I check out, watching me as if I’m stealing. She often quickly but politely assists other customers around me, yet her attention remains fully on me. The contrast is obvious and extremely uncomfortable.
This morning, she monitored me closely, whispered to coworkers approximately 3 times while staring at me, and then spoke to me in a condescending tone when I asked about an item that didn’t ring up at the sale price posted on the shelf. I’m in my mid-30s, have worked as a security professional for over 15 years, and have never stolen from a grocery store in my life. Being treated like a criminal while spending hundreds of dollars is unacceptable.
There have been multiple mornings where I’ve walked in, seen her near the front, and left to shop at Stop & Shop instead because after working 12+ hours overnight, I refuse to pay to feel profiled.
No customer should feel targeted or humiliated while buying groceries.
