If there were an option to leave negative stars, this would be the experience to use it. Listen, it's McDonald's, nobody expects great service. But this morning really was incredible. The drive-thru line hadn't moved in over 12 minutes, so I went inside to order since I was on break and had a very limited time. Waited over 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich, a very simple order given to the worker 3 times, and they lost the ticket (maybe?). This was not a case of short-staffed or "too busy", and I'll explain why. A friend of the staff (maybe off duty staff member?) entered the restaurant and walked directly into the kitchen, chatted with the entire kitchen staff, demanded that she needed French fries, every single person stopped their work and walked around aimlessly staring at each other and chatting, it was strange to watch, considering the drive-thru line was wrapped around the building, and I, a customer who paid, was still waiting for my order. Many female workers walked out into the dining area aimlessly, about 6 of them looked at me and kept walking when I was trying to get someone's attention to ask for either my food or a refund (I had to leave), a vague voice behind the counter asked about a breakfast sandwich, since they "don't show a ticket" (huh?? I ordered and paid the girl, pull up your cameras)I wasn't sure if she was asking ME, so I asked that to clarify if she needed to know my order and before I could get it out she said to the cooks "oh never mind who cares". Everyone continued to glance at me and then look away quickly (wth happened to ACKNOWLEDGING customers? I swear people need to take special classes on general social behaviors in public, this entire experience was so bizarre) I waited another 5 minutes, the workers knew I was asking for my food (or a refund, at this point I just needed to get out of there), everyone walked to the front and stared and ignored, one worker finally came up front walked past me, threw a bagged order at me and took the order of the gentleman who had been waiting to be acknowledged. I opened the bag to see that they gave me the wrong sandwich (again, I had repeated my order to her 3 times: egg and cheese. Those are 2 food items that any thinking person should be able to retain). I let her know that I was given the wrong order, she rolled her eyes, carried it back about 10 feet (I watched the entire thing) to the "line cook" and they huddled around my food, I watched him take the sausage off and toss it, add cheese and gave it back to the girl, who turned around and handed it back to me (NO GLOVES!) While all of this was happening, I watched the 2nd "line cook" lift his shirt and scrub/wipe his nose for several seconds with both his shirt and his GLOVED hands, and go back to making food. At the height of FLU season. I almost threw up. I wanted to leave the food, but already knew, based on the bizarre experience of being unable to get anyone to acknowledge me, that getting any kind of refund was not going to happen, and VERY obviously, if I had pointed out to the manager the disgusting and unsanitary act I had just witnessed, it would have fallen on deaf ears. I left and decided to just throw the food into the trash. This location is absolutely vile, and the health department needs to do a thorough investigation here. I do not know how this location has remained open. "Small towns", I guess.
