Since 2002, Little Ruby's Cafe has brought Australian cafe culture to New York City, offering approachable all-day fare, specialty drinks, and a full coffee program. Our first Brooklyn location, located in the heart of Williamsburg, is open for brekkie, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, offering our classic and beloved menu featuring signature burgers, homemade pastas, salads and brunch classics alongside a full bar with an exclusive cocktail program. The newest Little Ruby's Cafe location features a warm and inviting multi-level space, creating the perfect backdrop for morning brekkie, casual lunch, or dinner and drinks with friends.
Contrary to what is stated on Google, this restaurant is not spacious. Instead diners are piled on top of each other, with tables being spaced about 9 inches apart from each other. At least that’s how it is in the front room. After going to the bathroom I saw that there was a back room with additional seating, where tables were well spread out. Curious that this room is half empty during service while the front room has diners packed like sardines. The food itself came out incredibly quickly and was exceptionally mediocre. I ordered the crispy rice bowl with grilled shrimp added on. My girlfriend ordered the shrimp avocado bowl. We also ordered Brussels sprouts to share. Neither of us enjoyed the shrimp, it was unseasoned and flavorless. To add insult to injury, my plate which I’d paid nine dollars to add shrimp to, came with about 5 micro shrimp. The brussels sprouts were drenched with sauce. The cocktails were watered down. Lastly, the server was rude and inattentive. Won’t be going back.

Popped in for lunch. No wait, fast service, and the Bondi (chicken burger) with fries was amazing.

Wildly overrated place. We heard great things about Little Ruby's but it was a major let down. The place was too crowded, with most of the crowd was being guided in the front of the restaurant while the back was quite empty. No space to move. My husband and I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and shrimp avocado salad. The sandwich was completely flavorless and looked like it was put together as a second thought. My salad did not even include avocado until I pointed it out to a waitress. The hot capaccino was cold. Matcha was too diluted. It was obvious that everything was rushed. Overall, a horrible experience and won't be going back.

I’ve always loved this place — the food is consistently great and it’s been one of my regular lunch spots since it’s close to where I work. However, tonight might unfortunately be the last time I come.
When I arrived, the host who greeted me seemed quite uninterested and dismissive. She didn’t smile or say hello, which immediately set a negative tone. I understand that hosting can be a busy job, especially on a Friday night, but as someone who also works in hospitality, a simple acknowledgment makes a big difference.
She seated me at the very corner of the bar, which was perfectly fine since I came alone. But midway through my meal, she came over and asked me to move my bag from the seat next to me because she said she needed to use it. I didn’t mind at first, but what felt strange was that neither she nor anyone else ended up using that seat for the rest of my meal — even though she had her own coat and laptop spread out just two seats away.
It just left me feeling a bit singled out and unwelcome, which was disappointing considering how much I’ve enjoyed this place in the past.
But the waiter at the bar was fantastic! But the whole experience just turned me off overall and I might not come back.
