NOT the place to go if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions. Ordered the avocado toast, asked if it was vegan (there are no allergen labels on the menu) and was told it would be without egg. Turns out the tomato spread has shrimp in it. This could have been a major issue if I had an allergy.

"Stopped by Little Ruby's Williamsburg for a casual meal—the spot has a really nice, cozy Aussie-cafe vibe with a warm multi-level space and chill atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and attentive, which made the visit enjoyable. Food was decent but nothing too special or memorable (we had [insert what you ate if you want, e.g., pasta or a burger], it was fine but didn't wow). Solid option if you're in the area and want something approachable with good service, but not a must-return for the food alone. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars—great people and vibes, average eats."
You can tweak it to add specifics like what dish you tried (their menu highlights things like spicy vodka pasta, Bronte burger, avo toast, or schnitzel), or the time of day (brunch/lunch/dinner). If you're posting on Yelp, it already has a 4.3 average from ~46 reviews, so your take fits right in with the mixed-but-generally-positive crowd—lots of people praise the friendly service and cute space, while some say the food is good but not exceptional.
If you want a shorter version:
"Food was okay, nothing special. Staff friendly. Cute spot overall—4/5."

I’ve been to nearly every Ruby’s Cafe location across New York, and in terms of food quality alone, Bronte here is the best I’ve had. The meat was exceptionally juicy, well-seasoned, and noticeably more flavorful than other branches.
However, the operational execution does not match the food quality. I visited on a Saturday shortly after 10 AM. The dining room was not fully occupied, yet the food took an unusually long time to arrive. It was evident that to-go orders were being prioritized over dine-in guests. I fully understand peak-hour pressures, but even at much busier Soho and West Village locations, I have never experienced this level of delay.
This is not a staffing issue—it is a workflow and prioritization issue. If dine-in guests are made to feel secondary to takeout traffic, it directly impacts the in-store experience. Given how strong the food is at this location, it’s disappointing that operational inefficiencies detract from what could otherwise be the best Ruby’s experience in the city. Management should seriously review order sequencing and kitchen flow to ensure dine-in service is not compromised.

Warm and comfortable environment with attentive and helpful team that served freshly made food and drinks. We shared the Spicy Italian Sausage pasta and the Kale Salad. Both were freshly made and so well done.

So let me start by saying me and my best friend always come here. We heard about Little Ruby’s ( Williamsburg ) in May 2025 and have been about 10 times since…we truly do love it. We try our best to bring everywhere bc they really do have the best vodka pasta we’ve tried in NY. We came for Valentines this year , had a 9:30 reservation and it was sad to say we didn’t get the best service or dining experience that we usually get. I had put in the request to get a specific seating that we love( the last time the hostess did save it for us.. love her ) and it wasn’t available but that wasn’t an issue. Took about 20 minutes for anybody to come over to us , being that someone seen us looking around for a waiter and ultimately ended up helping us, still..no issue. We ordered drinks which we had a little debacle on bc every time we come I get a strawberry lemon drop but it seems like the bartenders pick and choose which flavor they claim they don’t have. Last time they said they don’t offer strawberry as a flavor like at all and this time it was mango..very confusing. My strawberry lemon drop was very grainy ( left reside all over the glass ) and I was told by the waiter that it was because of the puree..which is impossible bc I get the same exact thing everytime we come.. normally we always order our drinks with Darius the bartender. I got another drink no problem bc at that point we were over it. My best friend got prosecco with a shot inside the drink ( which ended up being $35 for the drink..i guess they charge $20 a shot now idk). Here’s the issue now , we get the same thing to eat everytime as I mentioned, the spicy vodka pasta with chicken cutlet. The pasta came out and we noticed it was a lighter complexion than usual and upon trying it we did not like it. If you look at any of the other reviews you can clearly see our chicken was lighter and looks noticeably different as if wasn’t seasoned at all ( i did include pictures which are the last two pictures on this review )It wasn’t seasoned like it normally is and it’s sad to say, that it was definitely a factor that affected our dinner bc it truly is amazing with the pasta. After the drink debacle , the waiter really wasn’t having it with us complaining so now we mentioned the chicken cutlet tasting like absolute nothing he was very much over it. Ended up getting it taken off the bill ( being that it was $16 together just for a side of chicken). My best friend didn’t eat her food so I ended up taking it home with me but we’re so sad that we had this experience. This is our favorite restaurant and we travel from long island just for it every trip. If this was our first impression of Little Ruby’s (being that it was on Valentine’s Day you’d think it’ll be up the par )we would not recommend it to anyone. Terrible experience at an amazing restaurant that we will be taking a break from.
