I have to wait ages to get help at the self checkout line and I finally get home and open up my chicken and it’s slimy and yellow. Now they want me to drive back to the store to get my money back. They can keep my 13$ I’ll just go elsewhere from now on.

She called someone else over and he told me to contact the issuer, which of course makes no sense. I immediately went to my normal supermarket afterwards and the card went through like normal. Customer service ought to be a priority. Very frustrating experience. If this is a known problem at the store, then why don't they do anything about it? Plus everything at Stop & Shop is MUCH more expensive than Shoprite or Food Emporium.
