  This store is just lovely...nicely stocked and easy to shop. The deli counter has a great selection, as does the bakery. The aisles are wide enough for easy navigation. There is also a pharmacy. I don't really enjoy grocery shopping...but this was a pleasant experience. I'll be back.

  This Hannaford in Wappingers Falls is by far the worst Hannaford and is one of the worst managed supermarkets I’ve ever been in. The store filthy inside and out. The parking lot constantly has huge potholes and garbage scattered everywhere. Inside the store, all of the produce cases are very dirty and messy with spilled food, stains, and mold scattered on the bottom in many areas. The produce itself is not well stocked and usually isn’t fresh. There’s often moldy berries, rotten/brown grapes, wilted lettuce, rotting cabbages, and spoiled oranges on the shelves. Many sections are frequently poorly stocked or empty. The seafood case frequently has a foul odor. The meat cases are all filthy. The butcher case glass is dirty. The center meat cases are filthy on the bottom with spills, dust, dirt, and mold. In the middle case where the chicken is, the bottom has spilled juice everywhere. Some of the shelving in one of the cases used to be falling down and they were propping it up with canned goods stacked on top of each other. It was unsafe and a complete food safety violation. That shelving finally got replaced yet the bottom shelf in that case wasn’t properly cleaned and is still dirty. The meat is also hit or miss in terms of freshness and quality. While some of the meats are fresh, I’ve seen spoiled meat on the shelves multiple times. The dairy department is absolutely disgusting in every section. The milk cases are disgustingly filthy with smashed, spilled dried up milk everywhere at the bottom of the shelves. Judging by the amount of dried up milk, mold, and filth, these cases haven’t been cleaned in years. The milk jugs are always dirty and leaking, dripping everywhere. Several shelves are moldy. The entire dairy section is extremely messy, poorly stocked, and disorganized with numerous empty shelves, items strewn about and most items usually aren’t even in the right place. The shelving in the eggs section is absolutely filthy with smashed, spilled dried up eggs everywhere along with mold, dirt, and grime. The amount of dried up spilled food on the shelves is so gross. There are always cracked or damaged eggs on the shelves. The rest of the dairy shelves are dirty on the bottom. The freezers aren’t any better. The frozen veggies section is a complete mess with items strewn everywhere. The entire section is dirty with a huge amount of spilled vegetables all over all of the shelves. Ice cream section is a mess. The grocery aisles are sometimes well stocked and other times are messy and disorganized. I’ve found many expired condiments, some are over a year expired. I’ve always moved them aside only to find them put back on the shelves when I come in the store next. I saw moldy hot dog buns on one occasion. The bathrooms aren’t clean either, the ceiling vent is covered in mold and dust. As far as management goes, it is completely nonexistent. I couldn’t tell you who any of the managers are because they are never, ever on the floor or anywhere to be seen. I do know the store manager has been the same for years but I’ve never once seen him anywhere. There aren’t enough cashiers in the evening resulting in frequent long lines at checkout. You really need to check everything you buy here. Check your produce very carefully as they just leave rotten food on the shelves, check dates on everything as they never pull any expired items, check you meat especially if it’s on sale, smell the fish before you buy it. Don’t buy any prepared foods here or anything store made. Based on how disgustingly filthy the dairy, milk, frozen, meat, and produce cases are, how can you be sure if the areas behind the counters are clean? This store has so many sections that are so dirty, that even if a new manager were to come in, it would take a long time to fully clean up this store. I try as much as possible to avoid this store and shop anywhere else. The complete lack of care and cleanliness and total disregard for food safety is truly disturbing. Avoid this Hannaford!!

  PLEASE bring in a wider selection of organic produce and meat. I would gladly come to Hannaford's over overpriced Adam's. Just paid $11 for a container of Tropicana Juice. If you guys invested in offering more organic local produce I'm sure you could be the Wegman's of this area.
