8:50 AM on a Wednesday and they don’t have any plain bagels. Pretty simple rating honestly. Have plain bagels at 9 am and maybe you’ll get more than a 1 star lmao

Panera has always been a good place to go for lunch. Their sandwiches and soups are above par. But recently I went to claim my “free” bagel with purchase as part of their customer program. I used it by getting a coffee and the total came to $5, I’m never one to review receipts but charging $2 for enough cream cheese to cover a bagel is outlandish. I’m sure the company could charge a $1 and still make quite a revenue.

Panera Bread is truly impressive in the sense that it has perfected the art of charging luxury prices for hospital cafeteria food. Every time I go, I somehow spend $25–$30 and leave with half a sandwich, a cup of soup, and the lingering feeling in my stomach.
The food itself is… fine. Very bland. Very “soft foods only.” Everything tastes like it was designed to not offend anyone, including people on a post surgery diet. I don’t know how a bread bowl costs this much when it feels like something you’d be handed after a colonoscopy. At this point, Panera isn’t a restaurant it’s a vibe, and that vibe is out of network hospital café. I really just gaslight myself into thinking it’s “healthier.”
