But recently I went to claim my “free” bagel with purchase as part of their customer program. I used it by getting a coffee and the total came to $5, I’m never one to review receipts but charging $2 for enough cream cheese to cover a bagel is outlandish. I’m sure the company could charge a $1 and still make quite a revenue.

Every time I go, I somehow spend $25–$30 and leave with half a sandwich, a cup of soup, and the lingering feeling in my stomach. The food itself is… fine. Very bland. Very “soft foods only.” Everything tastes like it was designed to not offend anyone, including people on a post surgery diet. I don’t know how a bread bowl costs this much when it feels like something you’d be handed after a colonoscopy. At this point, Panera isn’t a restaurant it’s a vibe, and that vibe is out of network hospital café. I really just gaslight myself into thinking it’s “healthier.”
