  Amazing food!!!!! Staff was attentive without being overbearing! If you don’t like it you should stick to McDonalds because you don’t know good food!!!!

  The manager didn’t know how to react with nice people we ask her only to do one more drink for the big boss coffee and we paid $2600 for the table and she insisted to be acting like a bossy for no reason anyway no worries enjoy your self you will Never get us a again

You walk into Opera on Staten Island expecting a softened, suburban echo of its Brooklyn origin story but what lands on the table tells a different story entirely. This isn’t a copy. It’s an evolution. That bread hits first. Puffy, blistered, still breathing from the oven like it’s got something to prove. Tear into it and you get that perfect contrast: crisp char giving way to soft, elastic warmth. It’s not just bread. It’s a statement. We care. Then comes the chaos—in the best way. A loaded baked potato that looks like it got dressed in the dark after a long night out. Olives, corn, pickles, sauces zig-zagged like graffiti. It shouldn’t work. But it does. It’s messy, unapologetic, a little absurd and somehow deeply satisfying. And then the main event: grilled meats that don’t try too hard because they don’t have to. Smoky, slightly charred, juicy where it counts. Rice that knows its role. Salad that cuts through the richness like a well-timed insult. It’s balanced, but not in a precious way more like a street fight where everything lands just right. What makes this place different isn’t just the food,it’s the confidence. Brooklyn spots often lean on attitude. Opera in Staten Island? It lets the food do the talking. No noise. No posturing. Just execution. A transplant, sure. But better than the original? Yeah… I’d say it’s not trying to be Brooklyn anymore. It’s doing something smarter.

  Everything is great. Took one star off because of the price. They become very expensive for Turkish food.

  My wife and I were told about this place by her friend. So we thought we would try it. The food was very good. Authentic Turkish dishes. We had , Octopus salad, a cheese board, Turkish bread, a smoked fish platter, liver and onions, lamb shish cabob, lamb Gyro platter , Turkish coffee and a variety of Turkish desserts. All were very good. We will be returning.
