This is an excellent Italian restaurant — truly one of the best in New York. The food and service are absolutely top-tier, everything was perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere is magical, very cozy, elegant, and welcoming. You can really feel the attention to detail in everything they do.
Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff made the whole experience even more special. It’s definitely a place you want to come back to again. Highly recommend!

I've been living in New York for 3 years. And for the first time I visited A REALLY ITALIAN RESTAURANT. It's a great place, with delicious food and good wine!!! I recommend everyone to visit this place!

We came in for an Easter dinner. The selection from the menu was varied and catered to every taste from appetizer, through entree to dessert. Beet salad perfect made with arugala leaves with a light dressing and crumbles of goat cheese.
For the appetizers, the Panelle (fried chickpea fritters) is so light and delicate and served with a ricotta mousse. Artichoke appetizer was also delicious. It's as if your nonna made it herself.
Entrees did not disappoint. Ravioli Osso Buco is ravioli stuffed with beef short rib and the sauce is kissed with truffle oil. Fantastic balance in the sauce, has enough acid to offset the richness of the Osso Buco ravioli gravy. Lamb chops must have been made in heaven. Perfectly seasoned, perfect temperature and it was beyond tender.
Cannoli delicious and filled with fresh ricotta cream.
Kitchen was on point with the timing of the dishes. We hardly waited 5 minutes between courses. Really, really excellent service from the wait staff.
Lastly, Gennaro is the best host ever! His enthusiasm and happy personality lights up the restaurant experience at O'Sfizio. He can teach a master class in hospitality.

Staten Island Gem hands down ! Food and service 5 star Gerry is the best!! Super friendly and full of humor.!! We came back a second time in the same week food is so good !!!
Definitely go check them out!!
First time dining at O Sfizio, and it was a very disappointing experience. The stuffed artichoke, recommended as a standout, arrived stale and flavorless. We wisely skipped the $175 steak special and ordered entrées instead—the pork chop, “Sophia Lauren,” and chicken Francese—all of which were bland. Sides were equally disappointing, with ice-cold mashed potatoes and watery, tasteless vegetables. It’s hard to imagine Sophia approving her name being attached to that dish, especially with a crooked photo of her hanging in the bathroom.
O Sfizio translates from Italian as “whim” or “craving,” but we were certainly craving a better meal. Service did little to improve the experience. When we mentioned the cold potatoes and bland dishes, the response was simply “OK,” with no follow-up or adjustment offered until we suggested it might be in their best interest. We left still hungry.
For the price point, both food quality and service fell far below expectations. One and done.
